This is a league problem, not a player problem. NBA doesn't care about calling travels/carries.

People really need to stop complaining. When a player is moving as fast as these guys move, it's going to not be called. The game would slow down instead of speed up.
I've seen guys like Ginobilli take 4-5 steps. People want to see crazy moves in the paint and dribble drives....
Traveling is not the problem in this game.

Should be called regardless of the player. The nba is a joke at enforcing it's own rules.

Then why even have a rule? Let them go in like a wide receiver to the basket.

A running back would be more appropriate.

You mean the stiff arm? LeBron* already does that and it goes uncalled.

i see 9-10 travels in the whole year that are really bad and can be called without doubt but are not called.
Other travels are very hard to be called. i called some of lebron's fast break as travel but in replay i saw that he only took 2 steps while being really fast. it is really hard to call these travels in real time. if you just called it based on gut feeling then you would get it wrong at least 4-5 times out of 10. these players take really big steps at very fast pace.

I see 3-4 a game lol. Harden made 2 blatant travels in the last game where he didn't cover much ground but he took too many steps to get his balance on a drive, also watching players when they are shuffling in the high post so many of them move their pivot foots and slide around. Of course it'll never be perfect but the NBA just doesn't care which is the annoying part.

Traveling is not the problem in this game.
Travelling, flopping, carrying, jumping into a defender, Harden going to the free throw line more frequently than Wilt & Jordan did in their careers - that's what's wrong in this game.

I don't mind the no-call on plays like this. Him travelling had no impact on the play.

Other than blatantly violating the rules in order to score a basket. If you can't manage to dribble, why should you be rewarded for that?

The travel police are the worst. If it looks smooth, it's not going to get called. It's a skill that LeBron is good at. Almost all travels called occurs when a player shuffles their feet.

The NBA need to enforce the rules no matter who the player is. Enforce and be consistent. That's all I ask and well not to rig games.
The kids coming up nowadays don't know the rules cause all they watch is the NBA and they try to mimic the players game.
I look at it as poor basketball because all they're doing is killing the game and turning away die hard fans.

It's an unfair advantage to have a rule inconsistently enforced. Sometimes they call shuffling the feet, and sometimes they don't. Sometimes they call extra steps, and sometimes they let a player take 5 or more. How are you supposed to defend someone like Lebron if you don't know whether the ref is going to let him move his pivot foot and take an extra couple steps?

I started watching in the 80s, and people complained back then, but it's definitely gotten worse. So has the carrying and palming. I can't image what it will be like in 20 years. Maybe they will abolish dribbling by then.

Lebaldo would be a role player if he played by the same set of rules as everyone else

It's not inconsistent tho. Extra steps or moving pivot foot almost never gets called unless it looks weird. LeBron is good at making it look smooth, and taking advantage of it. Refs have too many other things to look at. Only way they can start calling that is if they add a ref designated to look for travels.
It's pretty much the same thing as driving 1 mph over the speed limit. Cops almost never give you a ticket for it even tho you're breaking the law so most ppl take advantage and drive a little over the speed limit.

Bruh if you play ball then those extra steps and moving the pivot foot would look weird to you.
It's not hard to see, that's why it's crazy the refs don't call it. The only thing I can think of as to why they don't call it is because the Front Office of the NBA tell them not to.

This. Travels are very easy to see even when you aren't specifically looking for them.

did you know most cars' speedo is higher than their actual speed?
which means if you drive at 100 on your speedo, you're actually going about 96
