Easily, but let's play GM ourselves.

1] Jamal Crawford to the Los Angeles Lakers for #27 and Nick Young.
-We take a longer, guaranteed contract, for a shooter that will give effort on D while trading back into the draft.

2] Matt Barnes to the Denver Nuggets for #57 and Randy Foye.
-Denver waives Barnes, saving around 1.5mil, while Foye becomes our backup combination guard.

3] Spencer Hawes, #27 to the Charlotte Hornets for Gerald Henderson, #39.
-Drop twelve slots, dump Hawes, pickup a starting small forward.

4] Draft Dakari Johnson at #39. George De Paula at #57. Paula stays overseas.

5] Max Jordan.

6] Convince Al Farouq-Aminu to come back to L.A. for the MMLE.

7] Sign Rivers to 2/4.

8] Sign Glen Davis to vet minimum.

9] Sign Ekpe Udoh to vet minimum.

PG: Chris Paul - Austin Rivers
SG: JJ Redick - Nick Young - Randy Foye
SF: Gerald Henderson - Al Farouq-Aminu
PF: Blake Griffin - Glen Davis
CE: DeAndre Jordan - Dakari Johnson - Ekpe Udoh

Yes, but there should be cheap FA who are available.
I like Mike Dunleavy, very smart, floor spacer, decent defender, would do great along side CP3.

I like Kosta Koufus, very good back up center.
Jameer Nelson or Mo Williams would really help giving CP3, some good rest. Both are good perimeter shooters, veterans who don't commit a ton of mistakes.

I agree, Barnes needs to go, this guy is very over rated esp on defense. He shows toughness but I don't buy it. Also a very low % shooter, yes, it'll be great to get Foye for him. heck even Wilson Chandler.
I don't like Maxing out DJ bec of his liability on the FT line. If he misses just 10FTs per game, that is like 5 turnovers!:( , Adam Silver pretty much said that the chances of changing the hack and shaq is very slow)
Add to the fact that he has no low post moves, pretty useless from beyond 5 feet.
If some team would offer the max, try to get a sign and trade, if not, I'll try to get Marc Gasol, if not, get Omar Asik.

You can't let DJ walk unless you have someone else locked up. The only 2 guys that you can replace him with that will not be a step back is Marc Gasol or Lamarcus Aldridge. I do not see either of these 2 coming and it would likely have to be s&t anyways. With that said, I expect DJ to be back with a max deal. You just can't waste the few years of prime you have with Paul.

The most glaring hole I see in this team is the small forward position. They have been weak at that spot ever since CP3 has come. You cannot win with Barnes as starting 3 in this league today. Too many good wing players out there and you need a guy who can consistently defend and hit jumpers. Barnes has shown he can do those things at times but is wildly inconsistent. Best served as energy off the bench.

Problem is always $$. I really like a guy like Corey Brewer if he will accept MLE. Provides defense, energy and range. i also like shump although he is restricted. Gerald green is also a guy I would look at.

Cheaper guys would be Jae Crowder, Aminu, Wes Johnson.

Another big in the rotation is also needed. Hawes was supposed to be that guy but clearly he fell out of the rotation. I think glen Davis was that guy in the playoffs simply be default as they had no one else. Maybe bring back Reggie Evans for some toughness and he would be dirt cheap. Brandon Wright is also a nice big.

Bench needs a overhaul. Need much better floor spacers. I like Marco bellenelli, mike dunleavy, mo Williams, Wayne Ellington,

I do believe a trio of Paul/Griff/DJ can contend for a title but as stated above, the working pieces around them need a big upgrade. There won't be much financial flexibility so doc will need to be smart and try to lure vets who will come on the cheap. I don't see many tradeable assets the clippers have.

Hawes has the tools to be the perfect third big man, but he doesn't fit in Rivers' defensive schemes due to how slow he is (yet, Doc loves Big Baby for some reason), and he was struggling from the field early on. It's similar to the Dudley situation, in as, Rivers isn't giving Hawes the burn he needs to get out of his slump and has decreased his value to no tomorrow. At this point, we'd be lucky to convince a team to give an expiring for him and would need to do so since I don't envision Doc giving him more burn.

Another go:

1] Jamal Crawford, Spencer Hawes, CJ Wilcox to the Charlotte Hornets in exchange for Gerald Henderson, Marvin Williams and #39.
-Lose Crawford and Hawes, but add two serviceable wings that are upgrades over Barnes at the three spot. Not sure if Charlotte will go for the Hawes and Marvin addition, but one can hope. Added Wilcox for the swap, and though I do like Wilcox, he isn't very young for a prospect and I can't see Rivers giving him any burn, ala Bullock.

2] Matt Barnes to the Denver Nuggets in exchange for Randy Foye and #57.
-Get our bench chucker here in Foye, who Clipper fans have always liked along with a stash pick in #57.

3] Purchase #37 from the Philadelphia 76ers for $1,000,000.
-6ers have plenty of 2nds, Clippers add cheap bench depth.

4] Draft RJ Hunter (#37), Robert Upshaw/Christian Wood/Dakari Johnson/Rakeem Christmas/Moussa Diagne/Cliff Alexander (#39), Arturas Gudaitis (#57, stays overseas).

5] Austin Rivers signs for $4 mil over two years, with year two being a team option.

6] Hope Ed Davis signs for 3/4 of the MMLE.

7] Maurice Williams signs for remainder of the MMLE.

8] Glen Davis signs one year for the veteran's minimum.

9] Max DeAndre Jordan.

10] Give Drew Gooden or Reggie Evans the veteran's minimum.

PG: Chris Paul - Austin Rivers - Mo Williams
SG: JJ Redick - Randy Foye - RJ Hunter*
SF: Gerald Henderson - Marvin Williams
PF: Blake Griffin - Glen Davis - Robert Upshaw (or other options)
CE: DeAndre Jordan - Ed Davis - Drew Gooden
*RJ Hunter spends year in the D-League.

Great trade for Stephenson. Hawes fell out of the rotation on a team where a 3rd big man in the rotation was needed. And you got rid of Barnes who clearly was not part of the future. The fact that hawes was dealt for value is pretty incredible.

Stephenson is a young skilled player who was def. worth the risk. He had a off year last season, but on a team with talent and vets he thrived with the Pacers. Off the bench, he should provide a big lift.

About a week left until Jamal is guaranteed, wonder what we can get for him.

Some thoughts:

Nick Young + #27. Swap for a similar player, but gain a shot at a Dakari Johnson, Christian Wood, Kevon Looney (albeit a minuscule one), Montrezl Harrell, Bobby Portis. Lakers dump the extended contract of Sushi and save some guaranteed salary.

Evan Turner + #28. Same as above, though, Turner is expiring iirc.

Kosta Kofous + Vince Carter + 2 Future 2nds. Kofous would be a solid third big and Carter provides some vet stability with Born Ready on the bench.

Trade Crawford for Carl Landry. 76ers rid themselves of Landry contract and Clippers solidify their big man rotation. Landry would be a great fit. They would be just about set with this deal.
