View Full Version : If LeBron somehow wins a championship this year..
then my respect for him goes through the roof. The Warriors are a couple tiers above the Cavs and we all know thats the finals matchup.
If LeBron can lead his injury riddled Cavs (no love, irving very hurt) over the incredibly stacked Warriors, then James may very well make a case to legit be the GOAT. He would be locked in the top 5 (if he isnt already).

The Cavs CURRENT supporting cast is as good as any supporting cast itl (Kyrie, Mosgov, Thompson, JR Smith, Shumpert, Delladova).
The injuries to Love and Varejao simply made the Cavs even with everyone else - because before the injuries, it was common knowledge that the Cavs were the most stacked team itl - they were the only team itl with 3 all-stars (from 2014).

He won't have a case for GOAT. I think he'd move up to 8th for me, maybe 7th.

It's going to happen. Cleveland is a terrible matchup for the Warriors.

Kyrie-injured
Shumpert- also injured
JR was considered trash this year until he came to Cleveland
And Dellevedova? :oldlol:
Lebron surpasses Jordan if he wins a ring this year with this roster
Honestly, I'll be satisfied if he can remember how to shoot 3s. No way in hell Cavs beat Warriors though. I'd love to see LeBron win but I don't see how he could.

must be nice having a free trip to the finals ever year...
and twice with a trash cavaliers squad that never belonged there in the first place cause theres nobody good enough in the east to put up even the smallest amount of resistance
good thing for lebron is anythings possible in 1 series. teams upset other teams atleast once every post season.
so the cavs can fluke out a championship in the one test they face all year
but the reason nobody should give this possible ring even a 2nd thought is due to the fact that if THIS cavs team was in the west. its 100 times less likely they would have fluked out 4 straight series to win
so lebron will have yet another asterisk on his record.. fluky east representative..... might get lucky if theyre hot for a week. but they really shouldnt even be in that position
imagine if jason kidd was having a lucky week back in 2002... maybe the lakers dont sweep the nets
maybe jersey wins the title that year... thats the type of crap we have to deal with in todays NBA

Draymond Green > Tristan Thompson... Advantage Warriors
Iggy > Shumpert... Advantage Warriors
JR Smith = Barnes... Wash
Kyrie > Klay.. Advantage Cavs
Mosgov > Bogut.. Advantage Cavs
Based on sheer talent, the rosters are close enough... The tiebreaker is Lebron vs. Curry...
So basically, based on sheer talent, Lebron should NOT be an underdog vs. Warriors... which makes sense, since a HEALTHY Cavs team (with Love and Varejao) easily has the talent advantage over the Warriors.

Wrong. So blatantly wrong.
Hobbled Kyrie v healthy Klay is close too.
Stick to stanning Jordan.

FALSE, as USUAL.
Curry has:
Thompson>an injured kyrie; stats are the same basically except kyrie averages 3 more assists but klay is an elite sg defender and klay is more efficient from everywhere.
Bogut>Mozgov, but only by a bit
Green>Thompson; green is like thompson but can shoot the mid range and 3s and is a much better and more versatile defender(top 3 in DPOY)
Iggy=Shumpert
Jr smith>Barnes; but only when jr is hot
Livingston=delly, they both do different things
Festus>Perkins
But then what about barbosa, david lee, and speights as well? Dont tell me guys such as james jones and marion are better.
Proved wrong again 3ball; warriors have the best roster and that is why they are favored to win by vegas.

technically sure. but kobe will still have more rings and 2 more alpha legit rings without another top 50 player all time
and one could argue the 2012 fmvp doesnt really count due to it being a fake season
the 2013 fmvp is also a little iffy cause lebron himself lost the finals. his shot missed and ray allens was the biggest of all time
thent his year will be weak cause its a free trip to the finals
kobes were
a) both out of the west
b) both in real seasons ( no lockout )
c) none from a colluded/ring chased team
d) both without another top 50 player all time
and even if lebron wins this year. hes still coming out the east. and theres no way this cavs team belongs in the finals
would basically be a 1 series victory title
kobes from 2009 and 2010 were against 7 teams with 50+ wins ( which is more than lebrons beatin in 12 YEARS

Wrong. So blatantly wrong (Mosgov vs. Bogut)
Per 100 Possessions 2015:
MOSGOV: 22.0 PPG, 14.4 RPG, 2.5 BLK
BOGUT:.. 13.0 PPG, 16.8 RPG, 3.5 BLK
Again, it's close between these two - and since that was the only dispute you had, that means I WAS RIGHT and the rosters ARE close talent-wise...
Again, a healthy Cavs team (with Varejao and Love) was considered the most talent in the league... So it's no surprise that with those guys down, the talent comparision is about even with GSW.

Mosgov can't do shit on his own, like at all. Those are a ton of alley-oops from kyrie and lebron. Bogut and Mosgov are basically a wash at this point.

Klay is better than an injured Irving by a lot.
Bogut was an all defensive team leader, what the hell is wrong with you? :biggums:
Dont forget the Cavs have Delly off the bench while the Warriors have Livingston, Barbosa,Lee, etc

People don't seem to realise Lebron is averaging almost a triple double (27/10/8/2/2) - which in the modern era is basically unheard of - to get his team over the line. He is also playing some great defence, again rotating through multiple positions/roles to keep the other team at bay.
People pointing to the shooting and turnovers fail to understand that your shooting efficiency and decision making drop as you tire. He can do better, but it's not as bad as people make-out considering the load he is asked to carry because his teammates are injured or playing injured.
With all that said; if he beats a team as good as GSW (provided they beat Houston) it will be some feat...even his haters will have to set up and applaud him.
