You all play outstanding defense in the last two minutes, you force a tough shot as the clock was expiring, YOU get the rebound, you are on a fast break, and you pass it???

You're James Harden.

You have 38 points.

It was 1 on 4 or 2 on 4, but it's a one point game. Just go to the rim!! Get fouled! Be aggressive! Was that Dwight you passed it to with 6 seconds left at half court?

I'm confused about that one.

Wow. Two easily winnable games, given away.

Good game Rockets fans.

To me the bewildering thing on that last play wasn't that he passed it; it was that he passed it to Dwight.

I didn't understand as well. He stopped, seemed confused and pass it to Dwight , of all people, on the 3 point line. WTF?

Great game by him anyway. He was the best player on the floor today.

Can't hate. He's really f*cking good. Just shit luck. He deserved that game, though Curry did as well.

This is the series imo. This was their chance and it's gone now.

Good game Rockets fans.

To me the bewildering thing on that last play wasn't that he passed it; it was that he passed it to Dwight.I liked that. I thought harden was going to run over for the handoff/ screen... Instead he runs the opposite way into the trap. s...m...h.

In real time I actually thought Dwight was Ariza and I was like "why didnt he shoot that!??"

It didnt occur to me he possibly could have actually passed to Howard in that situation until I saw the replay.

I was actually certain that Harden was going to turn on the afterburners and blow past Klay Thompson to the right, just before half court. Thompson's shoulders were turned, he was backpedaling, and there was wide open spaces to the right. Instead, it was almost like he willfully dribbled into the trap.

I dont think he realized he only had seven seconds...

That's the only thing I can think of. Maybe he just didn't know?

But how can you not know?

Again, he hit pretty much anything and everything all night long, and has the Warriors scrambling back of defense, and he passes it. Passes it.

Wow.

I think he passed it only to get his dribble back. Dwight passed it back to him immediately. Had Curry not gotten a hand to the ball, Harden still had plenty of time to get a shot off.
On Terrence Jones, Klay looks like he'd be in a good position to steal the ball if the pass wasn't absolutely on point by Harden. Then there's the fact that you'd rather lose it on a missed shot from Harden than a turnover trying to force a pass into the paint.

Forget Jones being open, HARDEN himself was open!!! Even watching real time when he did that step back I thought to myself "Gameover" He literally had about 3 feet between the defenders

even better frame, he had a wide open pass to a dunk, or he could just shoot it. He was light outs from midrange all game long, but in the biggest moment he shit the bed.

A Jordanesque performance, turned into a Wiltesque performance (empty stats)

It hurt to watch. Harden never shys away from these moments don't know what the hell happened. I'm not mad at him just disappointed how it ended.

A million things going through your mind in that moment if you're James Harden...but the greats have to be able to sort through the noise and make the right decision in the moment where it's needed the most. No sympathy for the guy but I won't hate on him for it either...he played lights out for 47:53 and was the reason his team was in a position to steal a close one on the road.

Of the myriad reasons to hate on James Harden...this isn't one of them for me. He should have known to call a timeout...but so should have his coach.

OP, I can totally understand you...

Rockets actually could have won both these games, its tough now though... they really needed a split, hard to win 4 out of 5 now.

I am pleasantly surprised with Harden, TWO strong games now, but damn, he kinda ended it with a choke... you had everything going for you, just keep the ball, pull a move and knock it down... in fact, he did a little hesistation move before when it still was single coverage, had some space, but didn't go up for the shot.. then it got crowded.

Its crushing because Houston had 'no chance' coming into this series, and are 2 plays away from being up 2-0.

I must say though, that was a fantastic game regardless. Been a long time since I've seen a duel like that.

However, I think its entirely possible for Houston to win both at Toyota and then follow that up with a game 5 victory on the road. They lost two road games by 5 combined points... They can win in GS if they can pull off back go back wins in Houston.

Tough situation for Harden. Had a quick opportunity to shoot the jumper when he pulled the ball out from the break and Jones was open cutting to the basket. Harden wasn't letting anyone else take that shot (if a shot had even gotten off).

Just a rough way to end the game. But in reality, this series is where it should be, Warriors up 2-0 after two games at home.

This was the Rockets chance to steal one and play with house money at home. Hey, they played well in GS, hopefully it transfers to Houston and they can finish games off strong.
