Chamberlain, playing his normal minutes, and reducing his FGAs and FTAs down to the current NBA level, BUT, also adjusting his eFG% to the much higher league average of today...

40 ppg, 18 rpg, and on a .600 FG%.

Without taking the time to do the advanced math, (reducing Wilt's FGAs and FTAs down to current levels, and then dramatically elevating his eFG% to the current league average), you can substitute simple math...

Chamberlain averaged 50.4 ppg in an NBA that averaged 118.8 ppg. The current NBA averaged an even 100.0 ppg. Divide 100.0 by 118.8 and you get .842. Multiply 50.4 times .842 and you get 42.4 ppg.

Here is all you need to know....

Cousins just averaged a 24-13 in 34 mpg.

Chamberlain was much taller, longer, bigger, massively stronger, far more athletic, and while he didn't have Cousins' range, he was a considerably better post-up center.

15 rpg?

Can you explain this to me then...

Just a few short years ago, Kevin Love averaged 15.2 rpg, and in only 35.8 mpg.

Wilt would have great stats in today's game. I bet his scoring would me more down than his rebounds.
He'd still statpad as crazy doe. Nevermind win.
But who knows.

Just for the record, Wilt played on FOUR teams that won 60+ games, including two dominant title teams that went 68-13 and 69-13.

He also led last place rosters to within an eyelash of beating HOF-laden 60+ win Celtic teams...in series in which he was unstoppable.

Love was racking 30-35ppg?

Michael Jordan:
Bill Russell:
Wilt Chamberlain:

Shaq: 30/15/3 on 60%
MJ: 28/6/8 on 55%
Bill: 15/15/6 with 2 steals and 3 blocks per game on 50%
Wilt: 28/17/5 on 60% with 4 blocks, 2 women boned at half time, 1 mountain lion KO, 1 rep of a 80lb dumbbell curl on 60%

real talk

the big men of the past would absolutely crush todays scrubs. wilt looked like a legit 7'1 barefoot, thats like half a foot taller than dudes like drummond and dwight who would just be dominated by shaq/wilt down low.

Damn...Russell scores nearly the same as he did in his entire career, and on a far higher FG%....while Wilt's scoring would drop dramatically, and on only a slightly higher FG% (in an era today in which entire teams are shooting eFG%'s of well over 50%)?

Shaquille O'Neal: 32/14
Michael Jordan: 34/7/6 on bum squad or 28/6/5 on a champ squad
Bill Russell: doesn't matter...all about the W
Wilt Chamberlain: 26/16

Russell would score in the same way as Deandre today with lobs and clean up baskets. His FG% would probably be mid 50s because of his simple offensive duties and the more creative point guards/plays today. Bill would be a master of pick and roll defense while still being a leader of men. A better Ben Wallace.

You can't simply do technical conversions of statistics because eras change in style of play, and they contain a different breed of athletes through evolution. But yeah, Wilt definitely would score more than 19ppg. He's like a taller and faster Dwight Howard who once scored 23ppg.
