Actually, they aren't that bad. However, for the price, they could be much better.

Bingo. I ended up going with a set of Bose headphones I found on sale in the US for $90-$100 5-6 years ago, and while Bose also gets criticized for its pricing a big part of the purchase was the warranty. Every year I bring the headphones to a Bose store in TO, make up some issue with them, and get a brand new pair with a receipt that gives me a new one year warranty. :oldlol:
