Well yea, they are of the same breed of players, allround triple double machine 6'8-6'9 point-guard/point-forwards and all that... not 100% similar but sure enough the closest thing to Magic ever, there are guys who play more similarely offensively (like Rondo or CP3) but none of them were 6'8"+ and Magic was much more than just a PG, just like Lebron.... Ever since he came in hyped as "The next Magic Johnson" and Lebron admitedly implying Magic was the guy who he patterned his game after he took him as his pupil.... he always saw a big resemblence, one time even saying its like "watching myself" and became the guy to root for ever since then...

When Magic comments on these Lebron games, he is kindof commending/justifying how and why his own game / offensive mindset was as it was and why it was great aswell.... because thats how Magic used to play at 6'8-6'9.... so its not all just because he loves Lebron perhaps....

Dont want to make this a Magic vs Lebron thread but... dont forget defense aswell...

BUT.... Magic was so ridicilously good of an offensive orchestrator/passer/playmaker combined with his IQ (BEST OF ALL TIME AT THAT WITH A MAJOR GAP) to the point where it almost arguably makes up for the things Lebron is better at.... He would repeatedly create baskets out of nowhere, making passes nobody would even think or dare to do, like sniping in the ball inside the crowded paint from 30-40 feet, ball flying at bullet speed and grazing peoples arms, legs, ears ending up right into the hands of his man right under the basket... who first takes a second thinking about how the **** he got the ball and then lays it in....

Thats the difference between somebody piling up assists within the flow of the offense and somebody like Magic who used his passing as a weapon of mass destruction.... his assists didnt come just within the flow of the offense, he would forcefully with will create something out of nothing.... without even looking........ as a teammate all you had to do was keep your hands ready, he would teleport it to you somehow even if you are in a secret cell under Area 51 or something.... :P

To be honest, Lebron is that kindof of a passer aswell i think.... just not THAT good as Magic, i mean nobody is/was there & nobody will ever be... thats how great passing skills/vision i think Magic had and at 6'9" he worked as a sniper from the highest tower....

Well said! The thing about Bron is that he is ALSO a freakish athlete at the SF position as well. And of course an alpha dog. So that ties into guys like Baylor, Dr. J, and Dominique. I always thought these are the guys Bron combined into one:

Magic- Similar to Magic in terms of being pass first, height, offensive versatility, and triple double shit.

Big O- triple double threat and can average 30 points a night while being a pass first player.

Pippen- 6'8 point forward and defensive versatility.

Dr. J- Freakish athletic alpha dog SF like Doc. In the open court finishing, Bron reminds me more of Doc than any of the other legendary SF's.

Karl Malone- at a chiseled 6'8 and 260, he has the body of the Mailman
