It's starting to look like their plan for this summer is to bring Duncan back, re-sign Leonard and sign Aldridge. Will the Spurs be right back in it next season with Aldridge?
They are contenders if they dont play Tony Parker to be honest.
That and they need to return to the ball movement offense consistently. Im not sure why Pop let Parker and Kawhi play like they were Jordan and Pippen vs the Clippers. It's no wonder they lost.
This is where LMA hurts them. Tiago is better on defense when healthy, but is LMA going to come in and make their offense less free flowing? If so, then they are better off without him. If not, then they should be favorites.

They are contenders no matter what, the only team capable of taking down the Warriors this season. With the Spurs out of the picture, it will take a miracle for Golden State to blow this.

They will be contenders regardless if they remain somewhat healthy next year.

If we have to let go of Green, then probably not.
Aldridge is such an awful postseason performer. It's gonna be close to RJEFF 2.0 if we "land" him, tbh (scoring for defense). Then again, there's no chance any big name FA signs here so we're all good.
Run it back one more time. Hopefully Pop cares about basketball next season and has the guts to bench Parker when he sucks (the postseason).

As bad as Parker was, he ran the offense better than Patty. Mills benefited from Ginobili running the offense most of the time he was in(I said the same thing about Joseph too). When he did ran the offense, there were little to no penetration to start the offense. All it really was is screens on top of the key, pass it around up top, and jumper from there. Now, I felt we should've play Mills more in Games 1, 2, and 5 because Parker was having difficulty penetrating. In my opinion, we lost mostly because Ginobili and Parker regressed heavily this season.

Yep, I'm hoping he doesn't sign. If he does, hopefully Pop can make him drive to the basket more instead of taking too many fadeaway jumpers.

Jefferson wasn't that bad. He become a good three point shooter after the first year and was a better defender than Keith "Defensive Specialist" Bogans. Also I felt Stephen Jackson's second stint was overrated by his G1 defense on Durant. Later in 5 and 6, he played the same physical defense, but was called for fouls instead.

Lets be real here. I bet you wouldn't be so mad at Pop had he played Corey Joseph substantially more and we still lost.

Not with Ginobili giving them an extra 300 turnovers every year.

I'd rather go hard after Gasol. He's a better passer and fits perfectly into the Spurs system. They need to keep Green or replace him with a good 3 & D guy.

Yeah, San Antonio is kinda givin Manu the Kobe treatment. They dont wanna actually push him out, but theyve got their fingers crossed that he realizes the end is in sight and isnt gonna drag things on for too long.

Spurs just need to be healthy as possible. No lagging injuries during the playoffs and no injuries that cause 30 different starting lineups through out the season. May not even be possible but it's key. If there's anything to trust it's their player management and scouting. LMA would be huge. He'd be the best scorer on the team for sure. I'd kinda rather wait a year or two if it meant we could pry away Al Horford from the Hawks. LMA would bring more potent scoring none the less. As far as Parker, Duncan, and Ginobili.. we should just accept that Pop is probably gonna play all of them till the wheels fall off, for better or worse. I've accepted it, they've all earned the right to make mistakes or have poor games by now. Still they bring experience, clutchness, and add to the cohesiveness of the team

They are contenders next year if they don't get Aldridge but remain healthy.
If they land LaMarcus I'd say they are the favorites coming out of the west. And depending on what the Cavs do in free-agency they will likely be the overall favorites with LMA
That being said, I hope LA doesn't leave Portland, but if he does, I'd love to see him in San Antonio. Hopefully the Blazers could work a 3-team sign and trade and land someone like Greg Monroe...
