He had a better teammate than he, in 2011. He overcame that in 2012 by putting Wade in his place.

you think it's EASY putting super teams together?
that shit takes a ton of planning and execution.. there's definitely adversity
Injured superstar teammates throughout his career.
Pippen was 95% healthy all throughout Jordan's years. He only had issues in their last championship year.
Shaq and Pau were 95% healthy with Kobe (no, Bynum was behind Pau in the totem pole).

Is this a serious question? I'm not gonna go on a rant only because I'm not sure if this is serious. I can't think of an NBA player right now that has gone through more adversity than LeBron.

What kind of adversity are you talking about?
Give me an example of another player overcoming adversity, and I'll get back to you with an answer. You could mean on the court or off.

...wrong. Pippen was ailing through the 96, 97, and 98 playoffs. What the hell do you think he had surgery on that he was out half the 98 season? He played the majority of the 97 playoffs ailing from that foot. He was bothered by an ankle, knee, and wrist in the 96 playoffs...the ankle being the worst and making him almost solely a jump shooter. (hence why he was so terrible vs the Sonics offensively)

I really hate this type of Threads. I respect Kobe Bryant, but I hate his annoying stans
To Answer's the OP's question.
2012 Boston Celtics, 2012 OKC Thunder, and 2013 San Antonio Spurs. And LeBron's been a good finals performer since 2012.

Miami trailed in 3 consecutive series' in 2012. Down 2-1 to Indiana in the 2nd round. Down 3-2 to Boston in the ECF. Down 1-0 to OKC in the Finals. They won each of those series'. Only team in NBA history to win a championship despite being in that position. And this is 2012, so LeBron's still ring-less and playing under more pressure and scrutiny than any athlete in the history of sports. If that's not overcoming adversity, I don't know what is. They trailed in 2 series' in 2013 too, including the Finals. Down 3-2, with LeBron coming up huge in Game 6 & 7 to eke out ring #2.

He overcame the phantom elbow, cramps, and a 79-year old Nets super fan that goes by the name "Mr. Whammy".
Forcing a crusty old man away from his courtside seats because the way he waves his hands around distracts you when you shoot free throws...now that's some manly shit.

Pretty beta if you ask me, bran never even confronted him i bet . Also What self respecting grown man would let his moms coochie be violated by a niqqa like Da Real lambo?
And LeBron's been a good finals performer since 2012.
Eh, LeBron's 2014 Finals were a lot like Durant's 2012 Finals. Yeah, his efficiency was great and his stats look pretty good on paper, but the rest of the game just wasn't there. His defense was mediocre, his play-making wasn't the same, and he was a turnover machine. Also, LeBron was clearly outplayed by Leonard in the two biggest games of the series on Bron's home court, he's a role player but looked like an All-Star in games 3-5 with LeBron defending him. LeBron was just inconsistent throughout the series outside of that great game 2. His lack of a killer instinct and passiveness in moments when the team needed him to step up was clearly an issue.

He once had to finish a game without his headband.
Retarded thread.
LeBron grew up poor without a father and he "never overcame adversity"? Seriously?
Does growing up on welfare in an impoverished neighborhood with a single mother to becoming a multi millionaire count as overcoming adversity?

Nothing LeBron does ever counts. He could cure cancer and people would say it didn't count because he worked with some scientists to do it.

Bron is like the the last player you can make this kinda thread about. His teams have been in countless against the wall situations over the years and he's mostly responded extremely well. Isn't he the best elimination game player in league history?
Players like Bird and Duncan never once had to carry bad teams and never faced the amount of criticism or pressure that someone like Bron has.

Oh right...the East. Never mind. Carry on..
