You can't penalize Bran for making final appearances. Based on his stats, impact and accomplishment, he is already #9-11. Making and then losing in the finals should not drop his rank.

LeBron is one of the best 10 players that have ever graced the hardwood in the NBA. Even a 2/7 Finals record couldn't modify that indisputable fact.

However, when it comes to arbitrary GOAT lists, his perceived dominance over the years following his retirement would be stemmed by his total championships and Finals record.

I'm not sure where I have Bron placed historically as it pertains to a top 10 ranking, but I do know he hasn't surpassed the likes of Duncan or Shaq....yet.
