Nash was the better defender, 3 point shooter, scorer, handler and leader.

Curry is the better passer.

How far did Steve Nash led his team when he had: prime Amare Stoudemire, Prime Marion, young Joe Johnson and Barbosa coming off the bench ? And you cant even use his conference being tougher as an excuse

Steve Nash is my favorite player, but I would take Steph. Nash was the better floor general, but Steph is better at everything else.

Considering this Warriors team has been extremely successful I will give Curry the benefit of the doubt. But if we are conparing players Nash is lesser of a scorer but better play makers. They wont be much worse with Nash in Currys place.

Which other player could put up near 30 point average alongside prime Shaq?

Jordan? KD?

LAZERUSS

Both Curry and Nash are/were elite shooters. But Curry is also an elite scorer. The man averaged 24 ppg in 33 mpg. Curry is a legitimate 30 ppg scorer if playing under more ideal (scoring and shooting) circumstances.

Nash was a better passer without a doubt, though. Nash is an all-time great passer.

they're different players.

nash was a terrific shooter who was a pass-first type of player...

curry is a terrific passer who's a shoot-first type of player...

nash was closer to stockton than a jordan

curry is no jordan so dont even get into that, but he's closer to jordan than a stockton

Curry is also a much better defender. Based on NBA all defensive team voting he is the 5th best defensive point guard in the league. He also got 2 votes for First team all defense.

They may be comparable offensively, but Curry is a top tier defensive point guard. So, the comparison goes to Curry.

You're the same guy that said Curry is irrelevant on this team, and any average PG can lead them to the same success :biggums: :lol

He only had those guys for 1 year. Pretty sure JJ got hurt in the playoffs that year too. They lost in the WCF to the Spurs in their prime.

I think which guy you choose would depend on the other players on the team. If you have other big time scorers than Nash would be the better choice. If you don't have a legit number 1 scoring option than Curry would be the better pick.

why not? the conference is tougher, but the warriors has had a much easier road

Nash was such a great player. I have never seen a player control the speed of the game like he did. He could score like no other. He really showed it against Dallas in the 2005 playoffs, when Avery Johnson decieded that the Mavs was not going to help out on Nash. Just let Nash get his. It failed and nash posted 30ppg on 55% with 12 apg.

With that said, I pick Curry because I believe he is the better player overall and plays a style that wins in the long run.
