Beat the Blazers in 5 and also the only team to beat GSW so far in the postseason, and 2 in a row at that.

Better than the Warriors had Allen and Conley not been injured.

Not enough offensive talent to seal the deal. Defensively, they are great and that can take them far but you need to make more baskets to put the pressure on and put them over the top.

Great defensively and not so good offensively. Due to injuries, the Warriors ate them alive.
Without the injuries, I'll say the series is a toss up.
Grizzlies should have been a nightmare for Golden State. With Marc Gasol + Zach Randolph, they should have been scoring at will versus the small ball lineups that the Warriors were using.
However, even a crippled Grizzlies team made the Warriors look human, at least for a little while.

With a healthy Conley and Allen, might beat the Warriors.. definitely goes 7.

Warriors have more talent but healthy Griz win the match up and would have won the series.

If the Grizzlies were healthy they'd have had a legitimate shot at the upset. Grizzlies in 6 or 7 imo, health was the key factor.

Beat them in the regular season and won 3 in a row against Memphis with Conley and Allen both playing, but theyre better than the Warriors :oldlol:

How is he wrong? The only two games that Conley and Tony Allen played in, they shook the **** out of Curry, and won both games.
Warriors won game 1. Conley didn't play.
Grizz won game 2. Conley came back.
Grizz won game 3.
Warriors won game 4. Tony Allen Injured, left the game.
Warriors won game 5.
Warriors won game 6.

well yea, but the Warriors also undeniably got better.. in fact, you can see them getting more and more comfortable this post-season.
But I agree, especially on Conley.. guy missed 10 days, had a great comeback game, but was never quite the same afterwards.. less consistency, played at limited strength. And TA was 2 of 9 in game 4, sat out game 5, and played I guess also limited in the last one.
Definitely 7 if they're healthy, Gasol was very inefficient scoring wise.

Da Bears are the same team they are every year: a strong team that can make the playoffs, but not a real title contender.

TA is there for defense alone, he is one of the best perm defenders in the league. TA got hurt during game 4, barely played after that.

Just cause they were playing doesn't mean they weren't injured. Specifically Conley, dude looked almost like a shell of his regular season self.

Conley went nuts on shooting in Game 2. He wasn't gonna sustain that all series, mask or not. And Kerr neutralized Allen

Warriors are garbage. Cant do anything but shoot threes.

Warriors had the Grizzlies figured out by the end of the series, once Golden State made adjustments on how to guard Memphis' bigmen Gasol/Randolph it was game over. The Grizzlies offense looked lost in the last 3 games of that series and I doubt a healthy Tony Allen was going to fix it.:oldlol:

Maybe the 2nd best team in the league when right.
Not sure exactly how good, but they are elite when healthy. Only teams that could beat them in a series are Cavs, Warriors, Clips, and Spurs.

What does that have to do with losing their best defender in game 4? Curry went 7-19 and 8-21 when Conley and TA were able to play the whole game.

GSW def caught a break with Memphis being injured. At a certain point I thought they had GSW so shook that the upset would actually happen. Kerr adjusted perfectly.

Why do you bring up the regular season like it means anything in the playoffs? It doesn't. The Hawks beat the Cavs 3 out of 4 games in the regular season. The Cavs come in with 1/3 of their big three and do you think the regular season 3-1 record for Atlanta means absolutely anything now? No, it doesn't.

When fully healthy, they are one of the best teams in the league. Definitely in the top-5 with GSW, SA, LAC, and Cleveland.

similar to the heat-era pacers; always the bridesmaids but never the brides. people can talk shit about shooting threes, and can put playing the 'right way'--grind it out, half court, old school basketball-- on a pedestal, but frankly neither of those teams ever sniffed the finals. if you can't shoot then get the **** out.
grizz played well against GS and stopped them from going fo, fo, fo, fo, but they weren't ever coming out of the west. due to their low variance play, i don't really see them being contenders (but no one can contend against GSW this year. the writing was on the wall when the spurs didn't show up against the pellies).

Conley had the facial fractures, two sprained wrists, and at least one sprained ankle.

2nd best team in the West, barely behind GS.

"Grizzlies are LEGIT. A TRUE PLAYOFF TEAM. GSW can't handle these Grizz that are BUILT for playoff basketball. Grizz are gonna whip GS's ass!!"
After GS Series
"Oh my god Grizzlies are so bad. GS had such an ez road to the Finals, this is bullshit!!!!!"

Grizzlies weren't bad, they were injured. That's what was recognized on this forum after the series. Nice try though.
Healthy Grizzlies could take GS in a 7 game series.

It seems like every team got injured in time for the playoffs except for the Warriors. Not to take anything away from them, but I wish all of these teams would be healthy.
