:biggums: I thought contact above the neck was an ejection?

Cause lebron. The cavs play by a different set of rules from the rest of the league

Taj delivers a soft kick to Delly's butt, immediate ejection.

Dwight gives Bogut an MMA forearm right to the grill, flagrant 1

Good game NBA :applause:

It doesn't look good for the league if there's 2 sweeps in the Conference Finals

Luckily Joe Cool was suited up and ready to work

They'll change it before the next game.

I think the questions are:

Should they have made the right call on Howard which is a flagrant 1?

Or

Remained consistent even though it's not the correct call?

I think it would have been a little different. If it was a flagrant 2, Dwight would have been ejected and suspended next game. In a way, the punishment would be worse for howard.

Zach Randolph got suspended for the same thing Howard did. The consitent thing to do is to call it the way they've been calling it.

The answer is pretty simple. Horford was going up against a team LeBron's on.

The way you and I would LIKE to see it called is a flagrant 1.

The way the NBA rules are written, it is a flagrant 2. Without question.

Dwight basically did the exact same thing JR Smith did.

JR Smith got 2 games tacked on. I expect at least one game because he wasn't ejected when he should have been

Hmm maybe cuz the dude was twice his size and purposely tried to crush him. Bodily injuries are a lot more serious and detrimental in the NBA than facial ones, especially in the "grill"

I've noticed it more this year. He has a propensity to be a goon 'at times'. The smiley face good guy shtick is a farce. He's not overkill dirty though...

Seems like he doesnt usually initiate it, hes just easily rattled and frustrated. Hes a mental infant.

The right call should have been a flagrant 2. He tried to hit Bogut's face. It's no different than what JR Smith was suspended 2 games for.

That's one of my all-time favorties, I still can't believe he did that in an NBA game haha

Yea, I think the main thing is that Howard was being pushed by Bogut and threw his elbow back but was moving away and not looking. Horford actually came after Dellavadova seeking him out with his elbow.

I hate flagrant 2's overall though unless its like a straight up punch or something over the top, I want to see the players play. We're already missing enough from injuries as it is.

I think it depends how much of media and public pressure is made. If I'm the Warriors organization, I'd be making a fuss right now.

It looked nothing like the J.R. suspension. Bogut would not let go of Dwight. Maybe people need special games to watch NBA games now. Having said that, to be consistent, he should have been tossed, I guess the question is how much mugging should be allowed, the incompetent refs always miss that stuff, so the players take it into their own hands. Finally, why can't anybody think this through and figure out the league came out with a new interpretation after the Horford incident? After all it was reviewed. Either that or the league has to throw Crawford under the bus and suspend Howard. Either way the officiating is the worst in sport. Flat out s*cks.

I wonder that too. Dwight actually hit pretty well while Horford missed. Doesn't matter if someone is tangled with you, you can't go out there throwing elbows to people's face. I'm expecting a suspension but I can see the NBA looking away to prop up ratings.

Alamо

If you look close enough during the review you could literally see Adam Silver in the crowd holding up his index finger indicating "1." Shortly after they call a flagrant 1.

What about it? They suspended him 2 games for it. Someone mentioned it literally 3 posts before yours.

The consistency of the refs in the NBA is straight pathetic, they really need to do something about the consistency this off-season. Silver is making himself and the nba a complete joke these playoffs.
