That's how news typically works. Nothing new.

So what?

They, like myself, probably have to work in advance of events happening.

They probably made several (or at least three to four) editions of this release and this is the one that someone snapped a picture of.

Stuff changes all the time. Store is open on 6/1. I send the goodies on 5/22. Just kidding, store isn't opening. What do you do? You have contingency plans.

I doubt this is the only version they made.

It's not uncommon for a media dept. to pre write out press releases on two different scenarios so they're ready to go ASAP post game. They have to pass out a lot of those things as quickly post game to the media covering the game and taking the time to print out a few hundred then chasing down the reporters covering the game wouldn't work.

edit what he said above

All teams, whether in basketball or baseball would've done the same. It's a must for public relations and marketing purposes.

It's called 'prepare it first.........THEN if it happens..... you print it.

It's not like the players are getting on the plane 5mins after the game and all Media will then leave. It's stupid to "print it" prior to the outcome.

nah, pretty sure thats how marketing works... everyone does it, of course when it becomes public it looks kinda foolish, but thats how its done.

"print it" in media generally means to publish and distribute for consumption. Not literally print it on paper.

There's a kid in Africa right now who is sorely disappointed in your greed Rez lol

Here lies another perfect example. Championship hats and shirts are created for both teams in the finals. Anyone with half a functioning brain should understand why.

It doesn't work like that at all.

Well, my company i work for literally has had sales last week of anywhere between $1.3 and $1.6 million per day.

Printing off a few sheets of paper is not that big of a deal.

We trashed $70,000 worth of bad product two weeks ago. Just rolled it to the dumpster and poof, dumped it. $70,000.

I doubt they care if they waste paper.

This is completely normal. Bush did 9/11. I guarantee you they also made similar things incase the Rockets won. It's called getting shit done ahead of time.
