In the US depending on what country the dog is coming in from it can be no quarantine all the way up to several months

Yeah, I guess that makes sense. Animals crossing borders can be dangerous considering the types of diseases and whatnot they might bring over.

I know even taking a dog from mainland USA to Hawaii is a big deal. Hawaii is a rabies free zone so it's real pain to try and bring a dog onto the islands.
