...and they take LeBron too seriously. That's why it's ironic how they always talk about "rent free"

Being realistic and predicting that the better team wins is bandwagoning now?

Plus, we're rooting for a team that's in the same state unlike other fukk nikkas that go stanning Bran every year.

Why did Lakers fans get mad at LA people who started rioting for clippers when they were hot?

Because they represent California. Gotta root for your state man

Maybe because they play in the same building/city? And fans are still bitter about CP3 veto?

Grizzlies lost - they were my pick among the teams in the playoffs. Too bad. If you ask me of the two teams contending in the finals, which team is more favorable for a Laker fan to root for; Golden State will get the overwhelming majority of support. Notwithstanding the fact that it's a no brainer GSW will win.

Lets add a bit more: not everyone likes to root for a team that has, as its star, a colluder, choker, fraud, and final loser.

So you see, the odds of Lakers fans siding and rooting for the GSWs makes TOO MUCH DAMN sense. Only a LeTard that lacks basic rationale find the prospect foreign. But that's not surprising - hoping from team to team and following a fraud says all about the character of said stans.

Kobe stans and LeBron haters aren't synonymous but there's often overlap between them. The reverse is also true. It's kinda pathetic, both groups have a sad obsession.

I am a Lakers fan and f*ck the Warriors.

Unfortunately, they'll win in 5-6.

I always thought that you are supposed to hate teams in your state other than the one you root for.
It is a good sign that Lakers fans have matured and can see that warriors are one of the GOAT teams.

Lakers biggest rivalry in recent memory was the Spurs, but most of the Kobe stans were rooting for the spurs to win, and for Duncan to tie Kobe in rings... pretty ironic if you ask me.

I think a couple of these "Laker" fans might legit kill themselves if LeBron wins. They're that emotionally attached to seeing someone fail.

Let's not act like 3/6 is great. It's just better than 2/6.

Good question!

Speaking for myself and kennethgriffin only, I will say that my newfound bandwagoning is due primarily to Stef "western brown snake" Curry. I just like his game. Why, the other day I saw him take a shot eight feet behind the three point line with 22s left on the clock! No one else left in the playoffs has this move ("the Kobe four point fiesta") in their repertoire (although J.R. Smith (http://www.insidehoops.com/forum/showthread.php?t=324485) is close). Clearly Stef is a diligent student of the Kobe System, and hopefully by next year he will start adding the "fadaway" and "hand in the face" components to his already fantastic shot-selection. That should allow him to rack up more Kobe assists to go along with his regular assists too, giving him the advanced stats we students of the game really appreciate.

I hope this has illuminated things for you. Trust me, it has nothing to do with jealousy or insecurity over LeBron possibly winning another championship and surpassing Kobe in Finals MVPs. All of us stat gurus know that Lebron will never catch Kobe in PER (http://www.insidehoops.com/forum/showthread.php?t=324201)

wtf, so because our team isn't in the playoffs we aren't allowed to watch the playoffs? Or are we allowed to, but we cannot under any circumstances root for any of the teams or have any enjoyment watching the game? Honestly, you guys are too much sometimes. Chill and enjoy the ****ing game, will ya?

Faaacking op is a Knicks fan who is envying the Lakers #2 pick. Your teams management is made up of former Laker players and staff, show some respect clown.

Because Laker/Kobe Stans have more respect for Bestern Conference teams who actually have to go through multiple rounds of quality opponents with All NBA Team Players/Perennial MVP Candidates to get to the finals, vs cakewalking through the historically sh*t Leastern Conference.

Don't forget Boston. Lakers fans were the biggest Boston fans when the Heat, with Lebron, was playing Boston in 2011, 2012, etc. They were also rooting for Boston this year when they were playing the Cavs.

They have no shame whatsoever.
