Sure you can go pay big money (10+ per) and get one of those guys. But if you were looking for a defender/shooter wing player in free agency who hasn't yet "blown up" who would you look at?

Who are some mle or lower type guys at the 2/3 that could make a gm look smart a year or so from now?

Not a FA, but a rookie and I think Justin Anderson (UVA) can be that type of player. What is he projected like late first round?

Jae Crowder for FAs, perhaps? I thought he looked good once he got to Boston. Not much of shooter, tho, maybe if you threw him in a Spurs-type offense he would suddenly shoot 40%. Shit seems to work that way.

Kyle singler is the only guy I can think of that might be able to be got for 5 or under that could easily outperform that number.

otto porter?

yeah, although he around the league has been more highly regarded by execs than casual fans.

every front office knew his great potential (great length, good defender, good work ethic, decent shot that can be improved, good athlete, etc) from the time he became a prospect though. For whatever reason Washington just chose not to play him much and let him develop.

Doubt he'd hit the market cheap.

wesley johnson. every year, i have misguided hopes he'll turn into that guy. still think he has all the tools to do that. but we'll see.

he comes pretty damn cheap, though. Would be a great fit with the clipps.

Wesley Johnson is a decent player who would do good on a team like the Clippers.

Hollis Thompson is a guy who can be had for dirt cheap that might fit the bill if you coach him up a bit.

I think the Clips has him on the radar. I think he can do better job than Barnes. Also Aminu, have not seen that much lately but I always thought he can be a decent player once he improve his shooting.
