I don't understand what they wanted him to do

Bulls are so injury stricken, and the players are in such a sad state due to all the gang violence in Chicago

He did the best he could. Bulls took the Cavs to 6, and beat the Warriors at home. They were arguably a top 5 team this season, despite injuries all over the place

Chicago.... Hold this L

I'm a Celtic fan and as such have a great fondness for Thibs, and actually am a fan of his style as it is. But I do look forward to seeing what a roster this versatile looks like with a more innovative offensive coach.

Connect the dots.
Did Houston or Boston have hella injuries when thibbs had them at the top of NBA defensive rankings ?

I used to defend Thibs alot but the minutes sht is too much. He destroys his players. He may be the best defensive coach ever but he cant coach offense for sht

Who are they gonna get that's better than Thibs?

They should've hired D'tonio as the offensive coach or someone to handle the offense.

Can't do anything about injuries.

It's not about injuries. He's just a bad offensive coach, stubborn as hell with his rotations, and his relentless drill sergeant approach has wore thin on his players. With Thibs you can expect a ton of regular season overachieving, constantly being exposed in the playoffs, and after some time, many of your players getting sick of him.

Also the Bulls front office tried to get him to hire an offensive assistant...Thibs refused. Goes back to the stubbornness thing.

He's a good coach. Look at what he did with the Bulls when Rose was out all that time. They even won a playoff series and stole game 1 off Miami.
