IT's why Larry Bird is the "Individual Basketball GOAT". Top 7 GOAT player, then a Coach of the Year and Executive of the Year.

No one will ever be as successful at the sport as Bird.

The greatest often can't explain how they do or did it. It's the same reason why some of the best coaches were generally high IQ role players with a rigid work ethic.

Agreed. It's his body that "betrayed" him. Based on talent, mentality and pure basketball skills he is the GOAT.

I do have to give Lebron credit for being a better judge of talent than MJ. He knows which teams to join to collude.

Same reason Isiah Thomas signed Jerome James to a 5/30 mil and Marbury to a 4/76 mil deal. Sometimes great basketball players can't put together a team.
