Wade obviously struggled in the '13 playoffs, but he did come up big in the Finals, especially Games 4-7. We'll see if JR Smith does the same

True, Wade and Bosh are two world-class betas.

Shaq + Horry + Fox + Fisher > Almost any other supporting cast you'll find out there

These won the title in 2000 with Kobe as a young player who wasn't even a great player yet, and only put up 15 ppg. He was also injured in the Finals yet they still won.

Depends on the years.

Not 2011 Wade/Bosh, because Wade was still arguably a top 5 player in the league and dominant in his own right. Peak Shaq > 2012/14 Wade and Bosh combined.

That said, I think Bosh tends to get underrated.

Bosh isn't underrated. People forget how poorly he played the last two Finals he played for Miami. Not to mention being worthless against Indiana

True, i think thats the key difference

LeBron had a mediocre supporting cast, while Kobe was the supporting cast.

So Kobe had far more help than Lebron and did less with more, good to know. :applause:

put shaq years away, kobe still passed through 16 50 win teams during the playoffs

but both kobe and lebron are just all time greats. imo is lebron just more of an all around player and is more dominant

No such thing as too low for Lebron stans. Hell, one recently said MJ only marginally improved the Bulls.

motivated peak shaq is in its own tier. and I hate this oversized retarded asshole with a passion.

This was always truth. Doesn't mean LeBron doesn't require stacked teams and/or weak East to win.

Shaq with a Kobe work ethic and the longetivity of Karl Malone could have pulled a Bill Russell type of career- 10 to 11 champinonships.

You know you're an insanely gifted NBA player if 1 MVP, 4 championship rings, 3 F MVP can be considered underachieving based on what "you" could have been.

Shaq's longevity is underrated on this board. He was an elite player from his rookie season through his first year in Miami, a span of 13 years. Malone has maybe 2-3 seasons more of elite production than Shaq did. Do agree about the work ethic though

Agreed. 1992-2005 he was a beast. Had a few bad years but those few "bad" years are what 99% of the NBA big men dream to have as a statline for a whole season. His 2005 season was MVP worthy too. 2006 is when he started his steep decline.

I'd take a prime Shaq over anyone except for Kareem or Jordan to build around, including LeBron. He was a beast, that would roll through today's centers like nothing.

Before Kobe developed into one of the NBA's premier players Shaq won a total of 0 Finals games despite playing with prime Penny and an All-Star back court of Eddie Jones/Nick Van Exel.
