Lol.

He's gonna be good for the Finals. Don't know why people are ****ing worried about this ugly, witch-nosed clown missing time. He isn't.

The "no timetable for return" is pretty worrisome. I wonder how long it will take him to clear their concussion protocol. Can anyone here offer any insight?

why

SilkkTheShocker

why

Because almost every team this postseason has been hit with injuries aside from GS. Who was their biggest loss? Speights? It wasn't until the end of the Houston series did they deal with any of this s.hit.

So shouldn't you feel sympathy for them all? Or do you mean no sympathy for the team as a whole. Either way your reasoning doesn't exactly give good reason as to why you specifically feel no sympathy for just him alone.

:biggums:

all a ploy by the GSW to keep Klay from being assessed in case the series went on with the Rockets. when that didn't happen, they had to face the media, and when you aren't in light-practice after just a laceration/contusion, you've got some 'splaining to do

:biggums:

This strategy is common in ANY sport. You don't want to say "Well, so and so player has xxx condition and will be out xxx days" because it will give the other team an advantage during preparation.

Common tactic for teams to pretend nothing major is going on and xxx player will play.

If medically diagnosed with a concussion, the protocol to get back out on the floor becomes much more rigorous. My guess is that the medical staff didn't want to jump the gun, because you can't go back. Bottom line is you just don't play around with a concussion, and if that is what is going on, then they have to deal with it properly.

Those suffering from autism lack empathy, so it's best to just leave him alone

Well you can't list someone with a concussion until they are formally diagnosed, so they just list another symptom in the mean time. He passed initial tests, and his agent said he was ok. But today he met with an actual neurologist and was diagnosed.

Honestly it was pretty obvious he was concussed. The way it looked and the fact that he was vomiting after the game and couldn't drive home.. yeah

His dad needs to shut the fukc up. The guy was all over the radio that night talking about Klay throwing up and shit. You don't talk about team injuries to the media. As an ex-player he should know that. Guaranteed the Warriors got a call from the NBA the next morning.

As well they should. They should be fined a massive amount of money as well. First Curry gets a concussion, they show concussion symptoms on TV. The guy can't even walk back to the locker room. But somehow no one calls them out for it and Curry comes back in, directly breaking the league's protocols on concussions. The next game Klay gets a concussion, the team Drs clear him pretend there is no concussion while he is throwing up and has massive headaches. Cannot drive home from the game.

The team Drs should lose their licenses.

Good thing there is a 6-9 day break between now and at worst game 2 Sunday

I'm a PA, I've worked with Marines for 4 years now. Seen a lot of concussions.

Every one is different. The proper (and best) treatment for a concussion is cognitive rest. That means pretty much doing nothing. Then you work your way up to light exercise, then up to full professional caliber practices before he should be cleared for games. If I were treating someone for a mild concussion, I think the typical course of treatment would take him out of action for at least 7-10 days. If it were moderate I would say 2 weeks would be the minimum time missed.

If he's not practicing right now I would be pretty concerned. I've seen patients with post concussive symptoms that last for weeks. And they don't have to play a physically exhausting professional sport.

But I'm kind of cynical and think the Warriors will fudge his paperwork to get him out there before he's ready.

The fact that they did what they did IN SUCCESSIVE GAMES seems to validate this as fact.

I got my first concussion a few months ago. I was completely amazed at just how bad it was vs what people will acknowledge. It is brutal. And you are at risk for serious and lasting symptoms if you get another concussion before you have healed from the previous one. Which is why I think this needs serious league attention and a million dollar+ fine.

Sometimes it takes days for symptoms to clarify

What exactly did you want? For there to be no attention for this issue so Klay could risk his well being and your team has a better chance of winning? I don't really get issue of why you are pissed. The warriors deserve to be fined if they truly looked the other way in regards to his concussion symptoms.
