1963 Ford Thunderbird....is this a desirable year for this particular model? I got an opportunity to purchase this for 3k. Runs and drives. Needs paint and interior....could be a good flip?

(not the car I am presented, somebody's car)

not if you have the right connections.

my uncle owns a auto body shop and would do it for free.

I love muscle cars, that one looks clean as hell. I hope to one day buy a '67 Impala and fix it up to be a mean looking black lowrider, idk how much money you could really make off of them though, considering your target audience is pretty small. Not a lot of people out looking for 50 year old cars, if it's only 3k why not just get it for yourself as a project car? How many miles does it got on it?

Doubt that. It's not cheap to redecorate a car (especially that old), unless your uncle is out there working in a body shop for fun or working for make a wish, why would he do it for free esp for a random person :oldlol:

no idea 9er... But if that was something i'd be interested in this is where i'd start

spend some time googling things like interior pieces, carpet kits, door panels, windows, wiring harnesses (those old ford wires fall apart) also check the prices on trim and moldings, paint, body and interior are easy because those are labor related it's the bits and pieces that'll hang you out to dry so basically investigate if
A. Parts are even available and
B. how much they cost....

Then look at sites like Hemmings, get an idea of how much the thing is worth

A proper paint job is going to coast upwards of 10k, interior theres' another few k gone if you want it done right...

just make sure there's a market to sell it for, not every old car is collectible...

Looks like my buddy is going to buy it. He gave me a text first to see if I wanted first dibs on it but I think I am going to pass.

To be honest though, that is just a nice car to have.

The interior (not the car I was presented) but this particular car is pretty nice.

The potential for these things are nuts....

The newer version looks less appealing for some reason

:oldlol:

My buddy's dad has had one collecting dust at his house for 20 years. Same color, same year.
