View Full Version : Can Hoiberg do to the Bulls what Kerr did to the Warriors?

People keep bringing up the similarities between Hoiberg and Kerr. Can Hoiberg come in like Steve Kerr did to the Warriors and take the Bulls to the NBA finals next season? The talent is there just like it was on the Warriors. But the Warriors had Mark Jackson who was kind of like Thibs. Really hard on the players. If Hoiberg comes in and lets the Bulls loose on offense and uses McDermott, Snell a lot more and maybe makes other lineup changes like moving Noah to the bench and Taj to the starting lineup do you think this team is good enough to go to the finals next season/possibly win it all?

Rose will be healthy hopefully. He'll have an entire offseason of just practicing and not having to rehab an injury for the first time since 2011. Rose and Jimmy Butler have the potential to be right up there with Thompson and Curry. So that's another Warriors comparison.

What do you think?

The one big move I'd like to see the Bulls make this summer is to get Jeff Green.

Starting lineup:

C: Gasol
PF: Taj
SF: Green
SG: Butler
PG: Rose

Bench:

C: Noah
PF: Mirotic
SF: McDermott/Dunleavy
SG: Snell
PG: Brooks/Hinrich

Depends if he makes Butler the #1 option

Bulls are going nowhere with Rose leading the way

Depends what you mean 1 option. Butler should lead the team in scoring, but Rose should have the ball the most.

Zoidberg is going to get fired before next year's season is over.

If they can land another scorer, I don't see why not.

I think that it is possible, considering how weak the Eastern Conference has become. If all of the pieces stay healthy, the Bulls, with Hoiberg, could have a some fun in the East. There is some potential there.

How much talent do the Bulls need? :oldlol:

They're one of the most loaded teams with talent in the league, yet they can't put it together. Cramming more and more talent works to a certain point. They have enough. Their players just have to show up.

not really. butler isnt number 1 option material though, dont get him mixed up with a james harden or dwyane wade type player. he was the best player on the team last year, and the bulls were hardley any different from the season prior. nor has he proven that he can lead a team better than rose can nor will he, because again, hes not that type of player.

Bulls don't need another scorer. They have plenty of talent offensively. They need someone who can make it work together, which means altering the way Rose plays.

Hoiberg doesn't have Alvin Gentry as his assistant coach.

What is the similarity between Kerr and Hoiberg aside from them both being role playing shooters during their NBA careers?

Anyway Thibs was a good coach so I dont even know if they are getting an upgrade. Injuries have plauged the Bulls more than anything. Their guys are just too injury prone.

Marc Jackson on the other hand sucked.

Agreed. They have been failing since 2011
