More dunks would be entertaining, but would a lower rim improve shooting, passing, dribbling, and, make more of the girls better looking?

No.

The average woman basketball player is like 5-6 inches shorter than men. They should lower it by a foot.

I didn't read the article, and i'm not going to.

Serious misogyny goes on in every WNBA thread and I don't like it.

And I would have thought players in the 50-60s were all full time basketball players by talks like these.

Noooooooooooooooooo that would worsen the ratings.

They can't go down anymore. I'd risk it on the off chance that we might get to see one of Skyler Diggin's nipples

They should keep the rim height as is.

But turn the entire paint into a trampoline...

Oh and Skylar Diggins nipples... That is all

It wouldn't make a difference. Only lesbos watch that shit

It would benefit the game, no doubt about it and not only on WNBA, FIBA should do it too. I don't think the ratings would increase that much though.

They should get some talent going on there too. I don't mean to say they're not talented at Basketball, but how many Lisa Leslie's have walked through that door since she retired? WNBA needs more stars period , only reason people bring up Diggins is because she's hot.

Women got no excuse not to dunk. There are ways to increase their vertical jump.

Not really. The explosiveness just isnt there biologically.

They use a smaller ball, so they might as well. I think a 9'6 rim would improve it greatly.

Their bigs are the size of NBA guards. 6'2 center is considered a giant. Bigs actually have no advantage compared to bigs in the NBA. They'd have an advantage with lower rimsl

I'd love to see women posterizing each other, I'm all for it. Never really watch the WNBA but basketball is basketball imo

better looking girls and tighter clothes would be the only way

Their skill level and athleticism is way too far below men for most people to care otherwise

No.

Actually maybe; have you ever balled at a park with a rim a couple inches too short? Always seems easier to get in a groove. Lower rim means you can get the same 'sweet spot' in your release at a flatter trajectory, meaning you have to put less on each shot. Not saying this is true for everyone, but I definitely notice it when I'm playing on outdoor courts (where this is most prevalent). If Rake sees this thread (which I'd be surprised if he opened), maybe he can chime in

Lowering the hoop isn't going to make anyone want to watch

booty shorts and sports brahs while playing on a lowered hoop would get me to tune in for a few games.

There are only so many hours for entertainment. Nobody cares about women's basketball, least of all women. If more women were into watching sports then there would be more interest in it. I've never seen or heard of 10-12 women meeting up to go watch a NBA game or NFL game at the bar. The interest just isnt there. Maybe in the future, but not now. Id say 30% plus of men love watching sports while maybe only 5% of women at most feel the same way.

the only reason these women are in the WNBA is because they're too ugly to become cheerleaders
