Rakeem Christmas' latest NBA audition happened in Los Angeles, the star-making city hoping to reclaim its old glory.

The former Syracuse center, who could be reserved around reporters during his Orange career, seemed to enjoy his visit to L.A. He smiled and joked. He recalled when, as a junior in high school, he met Kobe Bryant at a USA Basketball event and Bryant advised the kids "not to talk to any of the foreign players — they were our enemy."
