It depends on a ton of variables, to even win one title.....Let alone 3+.. You Philly fans have something good going on but you people are setting yourselves up for absolute heart break.
Wiggins/Towns over whatever they have.

Really hoping for a Mudiay, Noel, Embiid core. Could be the next lob city with these young gunners.

Wiggins/Towns over whatever they have.
Embiid projects to be more special than either one of them.
Many have compared him to the Dream himself. If that's the case, then a dynasty is not at all out of the question. Hinkie has positioned Philly to succeed just as Lebron will start to age, and Philly will take over as the new beast of the east.

I like Minnesota as they are young but also will have really good veterans when their young guys become better.
You have a Leonard/Butler guy in Wiggins who may even be a 24ppg scorer.
You have capable bigs in Pekovic, Dieng
You have the ability to land either Towns or Okafor as your anchor big man with offensive skill
Rubio for the time being is still serviceable with great passing and defense.
They will be bad enough to get another top 15 pick next year and then this team can be like OKC east.

Philly will probably have 4 1st round picks next year, and maybe 2-3 in the lottery. And oh, Dario Saric will join us next year.

Literally anything can happen. Projecting 5 years and beyond is ridiculous. I understand you're excited but this is not 2k. It's just not as simple as you make it seem. Philly's chance at becoming a champion the next 10 years are low...As ****. Them becoming a dynasty? Significantly lower.

LOL I don't even know how 2k works.
I know there will be many variables, moves, and draft picks, and cap space to be managed right. There's no doubt, but Philly has as good a chance as any rising team to get this done.
We of course don't know for sure, but I can feel this headed in that direction.

Can't be a dynasty until you start winning multiple championships. Lets wait until they first make the playoffs, then the ECF, then the Finals, then winning the finals...

You can be projected as a franchise that could be a dynasty. So you really don't need to win multiple titles to be considered "next dynasty". It's no different then saying a prospect will be the next so and so. Mudiay will be the next John Wall. Same thing.
The problem however is how can you be the next dynasty when you don't even have a solid core yet to even go off of? At least have some talent that one could say "I could see it.". We have no PG. We lack shooters. We lack a consistent scorer unless you want to give Tony Wroten that title (ha, where is cholatethunder). Embiid is a nice prospect and his twitter/videos are funny/cool. Yet he hasnt shown a damn thing. Noel couldn't beat me in a game of horse. We have a couple young pieces like Covington, Grant but they arent anything most teams dont have on a roster. Oh we have the 3rd overall pick. No clue who that will be and if they pan out which is what we are hoping Embiid does. Is Brett Brown even going to be around? Oh, we have Saric overseas, nice talent. Forgot him. But yeah, next dynasty? Stop it please.

Is Embiid-Noel-Saric-2015 1st rounder going to be the main core ?
That would be pretty good starting spot, but they have to fill out the rest of the roster with some veterans and shooters. It could happen, but its not filled out yet. I expect them to make the playoffs no later than 2018 if their top level talent start to pan out.

Isn't their problem going to be that in a long rebuild like this players lose patience and bolt once they hit free agency? How do they stop this?

If Embiid doesn't get hurt again in his first couple of seasons I could see it. I think people have forgotten about him.. When in reality, he's by far the favourite for ROTY.
Everyone is saying about Okafor's offensive capabilities and Towns' potential at everything, Embiid is all of that... Already. There are going to be 3 fantastic big men in the league when the season starts, all rookies. I honestly feel that 2/3 are going to be special, all-star etc. one of which is Embiid.
I just don't know who stops him in 1on1s, people praise Dwight for learning post moves during off-season and get excited when he uses them with fluidity, Embiid already has much more ways to beat you than Dwight, and he's the premier big man in the league...
This draft is going to surprise people, really could have 6 big stars if everything pans out.

Also, The Warriors and Thunder could dominate the next 5 years. Let's not forget about Davis either.

The NBA DESPARATELY needs this. Ever since Yao and Shaq retired, there have been a severe lack of true low post bigs in the NBA. Like....past 10 years there hasn't been much. Duncan is the last one left. Maybe you could put Brow and Cousins in that category, but that remains to be seen. Dwight most certainly is not though. I miss when Yao would rape him and leave him with 8 and 6 games...truly exposed.
Embiid Noel Saric 3rd pick 5 2nd rounders this year 4 first rounders next year a couple of 2nd rounders next year and more cap space than any other team. We don't have to wait for everyone to develop Hinkies has the assets to land multiple stars via trades or free agency, just like he did in Houston. In reality if we play our cards right during free agency we can be a playoff team in the EAST next season, I'm sure Hinkie will throw max money at players like Jimmy Butler and Leonard doubt they will sign though. If nothing goes down this summer I'm pretty sure next year when we have four first round picks in the draft Hinkie will make some trades for a star caliber player or two. I've seen worse teams with less assets go from bottom of the barrel to cream of the crop in one off season so don't count out any team in the east.

Jimmy Butler would be a superb signing for the 76ers....add a strong bench and you'll have title contenders in 2-3 years....76ers have a lot of money to throw around.

but whats the word about embiid? is he really going to be ok or will it be like a brook lopez case...
While I agree that embiid maybe a bit better prospect than both towns and okafor. but the fact is he is injured and a foot injury for a big fella isn't good.
it was the same if for greg oden. I swear if Oden was healthy LMA wont even have second thoughts of staying. They might have won it already.. well but that was the big "IF"
so does this mean they would still tank again or play to their potential?

:facepalm You obviously didn't read the article. It compared what Sam Hinkie was doing to what Sam Presti was doing. Presti was doing great until he made a cap decision to let Harden go. If Harden stayed with OKC, they may very well have become a dynasty.
Now, Hinkie won't have the same problem since the cap will be hitting all time highs pretty soon. If Embiid, Noel, Saric, Russel, and other 1st rounders pan out, we should have the best ability to re-sign whomever we want.
I don't need to read anything to know it's dumb to call a team the next dynasty when only one of their supposed core has played in the NBA. It's funny that some like you assume that all those players will pan out

They usually say this about teams that stock pile picks. Remember when the Bulls had top 10 lottery talent in Ben Gordon (then dubbed Ben Jordan), Eddy Curry, Tyson Chandler, Kirk Hinrich, Tyrus Thomas, etc. etc. Didn't amount to much.
They have nice pieces for sure, but it'll take more than just having a bunch of talented pieces to come back from the abyss.
Fallen Angel

You better hope one of those players are on the level of MJ or Duncan to reach that pipe dream.
They don't need a All-Time great talent to lead them to a championship.
Philadelphia is building a two sided monster with Russell and Embiid anchoring a revolutionary offense and Noel and Embiid anchoring a shot blocking defense.
They are a few pieces from being a true contender:
Gotta solidify their SG position
Gotta find a SF to defend Lebron James, Carmelo Anthony, and Paul George
Gotta strengthen their bench
Gotta find the right coaching staff

LOL.....game 1 over anyway..
It would really help if some of you read the article first before you commented. That would really help the discussion.
Second of all, it's a projection, guys. Sheridan was making an educated guess. It's like if you were asked to predict where the next dynasty would be, Philly is as good a guess as any with the number of upper tier talent they seem to be accumulating.
When Lebron was in high school and scouts were closely watching him, many scouts said he was a combination of MJ and Magic. That was their educated guess. Did they really know that he would turn out to be just that or close to that? Absolutely not.
But there you go.
