Magic had great vision, he just as easily could have thrown an alley oop pass to Kareem for a dunk :lol
It definitely would have been easier as Kareem was rolling to the basket when Parish went to help and was WIDE OPEN.

Heat were up 2. Very clutch shot, but mostly because it's game 7. The actual in game situation in the OP is much bigger - down a point with 7 seconds left.
