When he's around, bad things happen to the Spurs like 13 in 35 seconds or losing up 5 with 28 seconds.

I prefer M. Gasol (the closest player in the league to replace TD) but won't say no to Aldridge (bye-bye Splitter). But no to either if it means losing Green - need perimeter defense more than a big man.

damn he will leave for SA.....

i think he is a little bit overrated but still a top 10 calibre of player who just isnt able to deliver top performances over a longer stretch.

would be funny to have him as the starting PF over Dirk....but LMA said it would be akward to start over dirk and not hearing dirk in the player introduction:lol

No way Duncan comes off the bench next season.. He is still far too good as a starter.. If LMa comes to the Spurs I'm sure splitter gets traded.. Which is a good thing.. He was useless last season. I think Aldridge has a lot more potential in a good team.. People call him a playoff chucker but I think Portland is to blame for not having any consistent playoff players and Aldridge was forced to take more shots than he should of.. That won't happen on the Spurs. I think he can be a decent defender too and the Spurs will bring the best out of him on the defensive end.. He has some range Which will fit well with Duncan needing to play closer to the basket.

Now Danny green.. There are reports that teams may offer him as much as 12M/year which i think is crazy and if he wants that much I hope the Spurs let him go. I think you will find he gets exposed on another team.. Spurs have always been able to squeeze more out of thei guards.. Once they leave they tend to drop off a lot. If splitter is going to be traded then maybe the Spurs can trade for another 3&D player. Big men always have more value. Maybe they can trade for batum which apparently is on the trading block... And Portland will need another big if alridge leaves.

After that all Spurs need to do is address the point guard duties.. Maybe have to try and sign a better bigger backup in case Parker stinks it up again

While green has been very good as a spur he put up what 11.7/4/2/1 something like that this season.. That is not worth 12M/year like some teams are apparently going to offer.. No thank you... Plus as I mentioned Spurs have a knack of getting the most out of their shooting guards..and I feel there are quite a few players available that could slot into that role quite well at a lot less price.. If green would accept something around the 6-8M/year I think the Spurs will keep him.. 12m/year is far too much and I feel whoever he signs with will end up regretting offering that much

As a Portland fan I do not think it would be catastrophic to lose LMA. We'd still make the playoffs next year.

If he's gonna leave he will let Portland know, and they will pull a sign-and-trade so we could get something back.

Obviously I don't want him to go, but if he does I won't be heartbroken, and I would only want to see him in a Spurs uniform....

Beverly
Harden
Ariza
Aldridge
Howard

The spacing on that team would be RIDICULOUS! Harden, Bev, and Ariza are very good from deep and LMA basically only takes midrange jumpers. If they can use the spacing and keep setting up Howard for open shots, he should average career high in PPG. Well, only if LMA decides to go there.

Whose shoes would you rather fill, Duncan's or Dirk's?

I would be nervous to go to SA. They were one of the top 4 or 5 teams this year with a Duncan who's pushing 40. The expectations would be tough. If he joins the team and they don't win a title, everyone would hate him.

And I think that's what would happen... the Spurs minus Duncan run on fumes. Even at ~40 years old, it's his defense and intelligence on the court that permeates through the roster and makes them contenders. Even with Pop I don't think this team is a serious title threat without him. Not unless he is replaced by either a wrecking ball (like Cousins) or a player of Duncan's defensive ability and wiles (Marc Gasol).

Now, I think Dallas might have a roster he could take to the Finals, with the difference-makers on defense and in the backcourt (I'm assuming here that Tyson Chandler is still good. Do I need a late pass?)

I don't think anybody views LA in the same light as Duncan, so it wouldn't be that much pressure. The real difference is that Aldridge has a legit chance at a championship with SA and it is unlikely in Dallas. The rewards definitely outweigh the risks, so he should go to SA.

Bend gets 300 days of sunshine a year on average. I'd take the few days with snow over 200 days of drizzle a year.

Plus yes, I much prefer snow to rain. Snow isn't wet (well, not often here in CO), rain is.

FYI Bend is very hot during the summers and has all the seasons. Yes, it does snow there as well. It's close to Mt Hood but it is not the Arctic Circle.
