NBA 2K16 to Include Spike Lee Storyline Featuring Player Named Frequency Vibrations

Lee said the game's story centers on a basketball player named Frequency Vibrations, whose personal exploits off the court are just as chaotic as the game on it.

"It's about the trials and tribulations of life on a big stage with the money, fame, temptations, family members, the press, fans, all that stuff," said Lee.

While the game is a basketball simulation at its heart, "NBA 2K" developer Visual Concepts has integrated cinematic elements into the single-player mode over the past five years. All I know is I went through that as quickly as possible, simmed games 1 by 1 for a season after the endorsement to get a full 99, and spent all my time on park and Jordan rec until I got bored a couple months ago.

That said, I've heard an update that the MyPlayer's nickname will be Frequency Vibrations, not his real name. So I think maybe that means you still choose your own face and name but perhaps your nickname has to be Frequency Vibrations.
