MJ played 15 seasons.. Won 6 rings.. 6/15 = 40% championship percentage.. GOAT all time other than Russell.

Take away his Wizards year... 6/13... Take away his injury year (86') and his baseball comeback year (95')... 6/11...

Lebron likes to take shortcuts and easy routes but he is a great player nonetheless.

Here's some Kenneth logic:

If your team was good enough to make the playoffs, then you should make the finals. If you don't, then you choked (only applies to first option on a team).

Therefore kobe is like 2/8 or whatever while lebron is 6/10

Lebron > kobe

So if you take away a player's worst years, they look better? Wow man breaking stuff!

Yet some people think it would be more prestigious if he made the Finals only 2 times out of those 10 tries....

2/2 > 2/6 afterall?

2 championships & 2 conf. championships is somehow better than 2 championships & 6 conf. championships....

33%

Lebron:

6 Finals out of 10 tries = 60%

2 Rings out of 10 tries = 20%
(soon maybe 3/10 = 30%)

2 Fmvps out of 2 rings = 100%
(soon maybe 3/3 = 100%)

2 Fmvps out of 6 Finals = 33%
(soon maybe 3/6 = 50%)

Kobe:

7 Finals out of 16 tries = 43%

5 Rings out of 16 tries = 31%

2 Fmvps out of 5 rings = 40%

2 Fmvps out of 7 Finals = 28%

This would mean something but cmon its the east.

Teams below .500 make the playoffs in the east during lebrons era

A better indicator would be how many 50 + win teams did you have to beat to make it to the finals.

MJ, Kobe, Magic, Bird had to face much tougher competition to make it to their final appearances than Lebron. Which makes theirs far more impressive imo

Huh????

Well maybe Not on the way to the final.

But magic won 3 championships in 5 finals appearances.
Lebron won 2 championships in 5 finals appearances.

Lebron didn't have to beat the 80s celtics or bad boy Pistons. If he did he very well could've been 0 for 5 in the nba finals appearances.

Lebron had the luxury to play sub .500 teams in the playoffs during the expansion era where talent is more diluded.

It's not hard to recognize The East during the 2000s and 2010s is perhaps the weakest conference ever in nba history.

It's a sham so many teams in the west with better records don't make the playoffs, but worse teams in the east with poor records do.

But he beats the 2012 OKC Thunder, and 2013 San Antonio Spurs. Both teams were talented and stacked.

I gave Lebron props but you can't deny he had an easier path than MJ or Kobe on their way to the NBA finals.

Just look at the W-L records of the teams each player had to beat.
