Do you always support teams from the state you're from?

Do Lakers fans(those from California) always support other Cali teams when they play like for example Warriors tonight? Do fans of Texas teams support the other teams? Do Heat fans support Magic and vice versa?

Or does it only matter in College sports?

I live 30 minutes outside the metropolitan area of NY. I grew up on NY sports - still support NY hockey, NBA and Baseball. But I support good franchises and players from any state - I don't disrespect other states unlike some.

Usually same state teams have big rivalries. Especially when it comes to colleges.
