It's too bad. I hope he's not harming himself more by playing. If he's not doing permanent damage then go for it but this is his knees they're screwing with and you have to wonder when the Cavs Dr.s say enough is enough, time to shut him down

Worst thing is that he played his guts out tonight. He made the defensive play to give the Cavs a chance with the last shot for the win. Ended with a statline of 23 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists, 4 steals, 2 blocks.

But, this knee thing is not going away. Any time he plays over 25 minutes now, he is re-aggrevating it. At what point do you just say it isn't our year and move along?

I'm fearing for his longterm health now. He's still just 23. He hurt the right knee in the first place overcompensating for the left foot. So, how easy would it be to tear an ACL overcompensating for this knee constantly flaring up?

Not our year. Let's wrap this up and move along.

I agree with this. But selfishly, as a non-Cavs fan, I wanna see him give it a go for a better series. However, he should sit and I hope they hold him out. He'll have another shot playing with Lebron.

I wouldn't read too much into the crutches. If he truly is having an MRI tomorrow, it is customary for a player to keep weight off of the leg until the diagnosis is given.

It was reported that he was walking in the locker room.

But, like I said, if I had any say in the matter, his season would be over. Even for a better shot at a championship, I'm not willing to disregard his future in the NBA. He's 23 and is a franchise-level talent.

You don't risk that so he can play at 70%.

Competing with GS is probably not possible now without Kyrie and Love, but we're a lot better when LeBron goes for an efficient 24-12 as opposed to 44-6.

So, I'd say 24-12 while keeping his turnovers down.

I'd much rather have 24-29 points on 15-20 shots than 30-40 points on 30+ shots. They asked what I thought he needed to do for us to win the series... I think it is to take far less shots and get the other guys going. That's going to inevitably lead to less points. It may not be realistic, but our hopes of winning this series aren't realistic without Kyrie and Love, so it is what it is.

Kobe stans are such jackasses for enjoying watching another player get hurt just because it lowers LeBron's chance of winning another ring. That's some psychotic shit, seriously.

I really liked the way Kyrie played tonight too. I felt like it was his best all around game in the playoffs. His defense and hustle was awesome. Time to shut him down for the season. Don't want to risk his long term health.

I'm going for GSW and would LOVE to see Kyrie at 100% going back and forth with Curry. As far as Kevin Love its a +/-. You get another weapon but it takes away some of the work that Kyrie and Bron is doing also it takes mozgov or Thompson off the floor which right now would be a plus for the warriors.

I like Kyrie, and he played great, but for some reason I keep feeling he's exaggerating his injury. He said before the game that he was going to have to will himself to play, yet he came out and played better than most and looked pretty agile. Then he got "hurt" after the game was over in OT. I watched the replay several times and couldn't see where the injury happened. I think that was a calculated move to make the GS think that they'll have it east next game. I just don't buy it until he misses a game in the finals.

If what I'm reading is true, there's a lot riding on the severity of Kyrie's injury for the Cavs. More than this year's championship chances, more than the health of their star player.

http://espn.go.com/blog/cleveland-cavaliers/post/_/id/1068/emotions-run-high-after-irvings-knee-setback

Tons of media outlets are reporting Kyrie's father and agent being at odds with the Cavs organization about whether or not Kyrie should play. If the injury happens to be serious, I could see a lot of backlash falling to the Cavs for this kind of behavior. He's only 23 and set to be their franchise player for a long time, they should not have pressured him to play if he wasn't up to it.

They might lose Love, Lebron, Kyrie, and any future stars that might want to play there if things go south.

he is a bit of a *****, lots of players/athletes get this, it hurts a lot but there is nothing structurally wrong with the joint so no it doesn't lead to anything serious, he'll probably need to have it cleaned out at the end of the season with a surgery if he wants, but you can basically play/live with tendonitis as long as you warm up and can handle the pain.

Dude, you can play with tendonitis, but it turns you into an old man. I have achilles tendonitis, and it's impossible to move well.....

have you actually had either knee or achilles tendonitis? And tendonitis can lead to tears and ruptures....

Yeah, he is obviously faking. He fell down and there weren't any bones sticking out or anything. So funny.

What's the status? I want to know if he's going to be able to even play the rest of the series...this ISH taking too far.

dude quit on his team... would he have left if they were up 1? tie game? highly doubt it. Man left like a beotch... same thing I saw in Kyle Lowry with his "injury" where he had to leave the game.

I didn't say it was funny, nor did I type something that was funny. I'm a Bulls fan, so I know how it feels.

In light of the recent reports, I now see that my guess was not right. Sucks for Kyrie and the finals.
