All that attention they were paying to him led to plenty of open baskets for the Warriors... Iggy was good tonight but lets be real

He lead them in points and assists and made some clutch plays at the end of the game. Also got the crowd back into the game.

what are you talking about. guy was invisible for the majority of the game. Kyrie played a better game before the injury

Both LBJ and Kyrie were much more impactful than him.

they were both essential tonight -- gsw probably loses the game if either one didn't play, but I gotta go with the OP on this one game. Iggy was the mvp this game by a hair.

Put nasty moves on LeBron too.

I felt like that move hurt Bron's confidence. He didn't really play the same after Curry took advantage of him on that play.

It was a great game. OT was disappointing but credit to both teams, the first four quarters were fantastic to watch. :applause:

Iggy was easily GS' best player if u factor in both ends of the court (which u should do). Steph got outplayed badly by Kyrie............the FMVP of this series could very well go to a number of Warriors players like i said before the series started.......but Kyrie got injured so now Steph CONTINUES to get free rides on defense:facepalm :facepalm

He just isn't as good as his stats IMO. The Warriors team makes everything easy-as-shit for him. The degree of difficulty most superstars go through isn't there. I will give him credit for a free ridiculous contested jumpers though.

Best frontrunner in the league, that's for sure. How is this ugly albino the MVP again?

Iguodala, Klay, and Green are JUST as valuable as he is. This is an all-time great TEAM we're talking here. Collectively, as a unit, they're up there. And it's not solely because of the ugly little boy.

Good god. Absolutely disgraceful.

He hasn't been aggressive since he took that bad fall in the Rox series.

Hopefully he can pull it together.

And yes Iggy was the best player tonight.

Curry really didn't do much, neither did Klay for that matter. Curry is considered a Superstar, and he really just doesn't have to do much for this team to win.

Lebron scored 3 less points than Curry and Klay combined, and Lebron was more efficient. What does that say about how good the Warriors are, as a team?

Young X

He doesn't need to. This team is one of the most well rounded teams I've ever seen. They have at least 10 guys who can step in and contribute. If Curry or Thompson don't have great games they still have:

Green
Bogut
Igoudala
Barnes
Lee
Barbosa
Livingston
Speights

At least one of these guys will step up and make a huge impact, and they still have their elite team defense to rely on.

To be a champion you need to be on a team where guys can bail you out. If your stars have to play well for you to win then you're not winning shit. Barnes' performance in G5 against the Rockets and Iggy tonight are exactly what every team needs to be champions.

it's a series....not just a game. He played within the team offense and did what he needed to. He creates ridiculous space just being out there. It allows a lot of open shots and cuts because defenders get caught up watching where he is.

That said - not one of his better ganes, but still played decently well. C+ game for him. Sometimes with a great team though you have to allow others to shine. Not all suoerstars know how to do that. Lebron did too much...and when he needed others to step up it was hard for them because they had no rhythm due to an entire game of iso ball.

i am not surprised at all by the out come of game 1. GS didn't do great vs Houston and people thought that rockets would win just because the first 2 games were close.

Curry just did what was expected from him ... Its not like they were not the better team.

Only on ISH does a guy go 10-20 w/8 assists 26 points and suck. Never mind taking over OT.

Curry was averaging 30 pts in the playoffs before he took that dive though. Probably I thought that this was just a decent game from him.

That's how good Steph has become. What would have been a great game for any other player is now seen as subpar for him. Hell, didn't the last FMVP win averaging 17ppg (although admittedly with excellent defense)?

I did not say he is not hte best player on Warriors team overall or that he won't be in this series. But it's rather annoying when Iggy get's a great game and still all the credit goes to Curry on those sites somehow.

Why are people so upset curry getting some love? Lebron gets the credit for everything in cavs wins if he scores 2 points or 40. If they lose its everyone else's fault. ISH haters mad some one else taking some of their favorite players spotlight.

You know you've made it when 26/8 and a couple clutch steals are a bad game

Got the crowd back into when the game was on the line too. Curry does all the little things. Steve Kerr tought him well. Spurs basketball

This thread has that "agenda" vibe going. Yes I agree that Iggy has a strong case as being the best on the floor for the Ws tonight but Curry was equally important

Is this a setup so that if Curry wins fmvp yall can cry that iggy/thompson/green or anyone else was the REAL MVP???

And I can almost GAURANTEE that every single person crying about it will be a lebron fan lol

Iggy was definitely a key factor, but let's not use it to diminish Curry's input. Iggy is easily more replaceable than Curry.

I agree that's not exactly a "takeover", but he did have the go ahead points. Had a big steal too.
