This ^^^. Prime MJ is superior in almost every aspect of basketball over Lebron. I'll take prime Kobe over Lebron too.

Those guys never won a playoffs series without a top 10 player in the league.

Only Lebron's hardcore stans would pick him, every other basketball fan would take MJ 100 times of 100.

1-9 without Pippen

The only teams that beat a Jordan Bulls team in the playoffs outside of his rookie season were Bird's Boston Celtics, the Bad Boy Pistons, and the Shaq-Penny Magic the one season where he was rusty from baseball.

Shrugs. Not too shabby. If he had been drafted by Portland and had Drexler to play with from day 1, he would've wrecked the league from 1987 or 88 onwards or so.

1-9 without Pippenin the goat conference: the 80's east. I will concede lebron > mj at carrying a team throughout the regular season, but Jordan's Bulls were quite scrub. Lebron is definitely doing worse than Jordan's 1-9 performance with that cast against the bird celtics.

Pippen wasn't a top 10 player until 91-92.

Gasol wasn't a top 10 player ever.

I'll take MJ over LeBron or Kobe.

Can anyone see LeBron going 40-42 in his third year in the league? LeBron had his team up to 50 wins (starting from 17 before he got there--Chicago had 27 before MJ) and that was when he was the age of a college junior. The legitimate knock on MJ is not that his teams lost in the first round but he improved his team so little, relative to other legends, that they drew low seeds and hence strong opponents.

Regarding the OP, LeBron gets more out of scrub or average teams; Jordan more out of good or great teams.

Peja, you are technically correct but the fact is Pippen by the end of 91' was playing at a top 10 level. 22/9/6/3 in the playoffs and 21/9/7 (2 or 3 steals--I don't remember the specific number) in the Finals along with elite defense (ask Magic--the Bulls were facing a 0-2 hole absent Pippen's defense on Magic in Game 2) during that run. After that year he was the 3rd or 4th player (depending on what source you read) picked for the Dream Team and in the first group of "no brainer" Dream Teamers. That says it all about how he was regarded by that time, even if he technically was not top 10 during the entire 82 game period of the 1990-91 season.
