He was incredible tonight. It's the highest scoring total in the finals since Shaq, if I'm not mistaken. Over a decade. I remember Wade and Westbrook getting 43 but that's about it. I don't think Kobe has ever scored more than 40 in his career, which shows you how hard it is to score big in the finals.

I'm not sure he can repeat tonight's scoring outburst in game 2, or any other going forward. It's an anomaly. But ill sure be hoping he can atleast put up enormous stats now that the Cavs team is decimated with injuries and has next to no chance of winning.

And Kobe had 36 points, 7 assists, 7 rebounds and only 1 turnover in the first 29 minutes of G1 vs magic.
