You mean rich San Fran liberals didnt give their tickets to underpriveleged kids from Oakland, the area they all shun themselves and stay as far away from as possible while complaining about how a random guy in a shack in Arkansas is such a stupid racist republican???????

25 dollars for a hotdog.

That's ****ing insane. As if they don't make enough money from the tickets, the profit margin on food (based on those ridiculous prices) must be HUGE for them. Probably costs them $2 to make that hot dog meal, selling it for $26 means they are making 24 profit from each hotdog meal they sell. They are getting a 1200% return for each dollar put into the food basically, smfh. Insane.

To be fair, those are the "souvenir cup" combos, which are overpriced everywhere. Food alone is probably wayyy cheaper. Though, probably still terribly expensive.

No way in hell it costs $2 in materials to make a hot dog. Maybe if you factor in labor to sell the hot dogs..

Average ticket price over $1,000. A record for an NBA Finals game.

bdreason
06-05-2015, 01:56 PM
And that pricing isn't that outrageous (for an Arena) if it comes with a large beer.

Those prices come with a souvenir cup, which probably gets you free/cheap beer refills

Pricing is about supply and demand. If you can sell a good at a high price, you would be stupid not to. There are more worthy causes to spend charity on than fans that can afford to go to NBA finals games.

Ridiculous. I know inflation is real in California, but cmon. The prices in concessions never raised in Miami during the playoffs.

The AVG price for a ticket to the game last night on the secondary market was >$1000.

Its just a good old fashion shakedown. If you got 4k to take the kids to the ballgame you gotta have $125 to feed 'em.

its not even that bad... factor in the already expensive arena prices, the fact that its the finals and you also get a beer and souvenir?... not bad at all. Ya'll must be broke.

The food looks very unappetizing. Like frozen fries and the burger looks like the size if your palm, just stacked higher with vegetables and thick bread.

Right, but here's the thing: people could just bring their own food so the demand shouldn't really be what it is. People just don't plan ahead.

You can't bring your own food to the arena. Lol. You can but as soon as they catch you, you would have to eat it on the spot or throw it away.

Yeah I know. I'm saying... all these people like "$26 for a hot dog WTF??" are silly.

It's a hot dog, plus a beer served in a permanent (most likely plastic but I've seen ceramic/glass stein) souvenir.

It's easy to sneak in food if you're with a woman as they never check women's purses/bags. My friend's parents used to pack an entire dinner and put it in a huge bag the mom carried to games...no one ever said anything.

They dont check womens purses/bags? :oldlol:

Is that why theres a separate male/female line to get into arenas? Expressway for girls while guys have to do the full cavity search? Stupid post is stupid.
