Just had an office discussion and the responses were all pretty much different. Some even maxed out at "12" and "15". :wtf:
For me, it consists of 3,4 and 5. 6 or more is a stretch. Definitely not 2

a couple - 2
a "few" - 3
"several" - 4 or 5
that's how I see it

Several is more about proportion to me.
If 12 seats were filled in a 1,000 seat auditorium, I wouldnt say "several seats were filled."
If 19 of 30 kids in the class got an A, Id say several students got A's.

This. 15-16 is more like "many" to me.

Really? I would use the word some to describe that.
Many to me implies closer to 100 at least without context.
I think many is much more subjective and relevant to context. I definitely wouldn't consider over 10 "several" though.

I think ish is growing up in many ways. Large numbers are being thrown around in this thread and not one mention of a d1ck or tranny.

Yeah, I backtracked, I think many is much more open to context.
