Don't know if i've seen a thread about this before. Was looking through some movies, and there are honestly some really good trilogies. So which ones are your favourite?

in no order for me:

LOTR
Dark Knight
Oceans

LOTR
Godfather
Toy Story
I was thinking of godfather, but i was let down by the third movie. Otherwise the first 2 movies are GOAT

:lol
So is the Dollars trilogy the same as the Cornetto trilogy? By that I mean that the stories don't link with one another.

sounds ugly.. I prefer quartet, quintet.. but at least these words exist and seem to be accepted, order is the most important thing

LOTR
Star Wars
Nolans Batman

Honorable mention is Indiana Jones trilogy.

I laugh when people say Godfather trilogy...1 and 2 are obvious classics. The 3rd one was terrible.

Godfather is easily the best despite the 3rd being a step down from the first 2 especially the GOAT 2nd

then Bourne. Matt Damon went buck great actor, those action scenes was crazy, plus the realism and writing:kobe: :kobe: Greenass is a great director interested in the new Bourne next year since he and Damon back again...........like Godfather tho Supremacy and Ultimatum stick out more

last.............prolly that chinese trilogy for Oldboy and Lady Vengeance i aint seen the last one doe:confusedshrug: :confusedshrug:

Thread over males 30-45.

Might take Godfather over LOTR. I'll suffer through the 3rd just so I can watch the first 2.

Not many people know this one. I remember watching it a long time ago and liking it. Love the score for the Blue one. Gotta rewatch the whole trilogy soon.

Oceans- I love the dry humor in these movies lol. I will admit I finished Oceans 11 and Oceans 13. Oceans 12, I have watched little scenes here and there but got the general idea of what happened. I was told by some that Oceans 12 was probably the most underrated of the bunch and arguably was their favorite.
Godfather- honestly never watched the 3rd. The first two Godfather movies are legendary. People know about them around the world probably more than these other two trilogies I listed.
Bourne Trilogy- I would rank them as such 3rd movie > 1st movie > 2nd movie. All by a little nudge, none was significantly better/worse than the other. Somehow made living in Europe sound really cool because of all the places Jason Bourne has to run to.

So your favorite trilogy is Oceans and The Godfather but you never saw Oceans 12 and The Godfather Part 3? :biggums:

I've seen 60% of Oceans 12 but yes I have never seen Part 3.

I would mention Lord of the Rings but when the 3rd movie had about 20 alternative endings, I was done with that trilogy.

I wasn't huge on the trilogy (definitely preferred the first two to the third) until I watched them in a class, the teacher was obsessed with the franchise and paused them frequently to point out little bits of symbolism or Easter eggs that a casual viewer would have missed. Definitely made me appreciate them more, and they became one of my favorite series.

After I watched them the second time, I started realizing all these hints and puzzles I have missed. I definitely understood Matrix at the second viewing.
