Thompson made the comments on ESPN LA, saying, "I also heard it on good authority from a team that plays in the Bay Area that they're going to go hard after Kevin Durant."

I can't even imagine how much better this Warriors team could get, but replacing Barnes with Durant would be huge.
In addition to Curry and Klay suddenly you are adding basically the next best 3pt shooter in the league to the team...

It would be a smart move for KD. We are talking multiple championships. He would fit the Warriors system perfectly.

Seems like him staying in OKC is way more probable than anything else...
It's crazy, I think going into next year, Westbrook will probably be the most underrated player in the league again... Two years ago he was the best player in the entire playoffs and last year he was just a beast in general.
Give Westbrook a competent coaching staff and remove the stupid lineups that Brooks constantly ran with Sefolosha + Perkins, so on, and I think we're going to see a total beast unleashed. Will probably have a career high in assists and efficiency next year...

That would be amazing. Durant should definitely go to the Warriors because his chance of winning a chip is getting lower now

I think a team ran by Westbrook without Durant would be better in the long run for them imo.
He's a beast and hes proven to have no problems scoring every time down the court.
A lot of times when i've watched OKC games Russell has dominated the ball at key moments and basically turned Durant in to a spot up shooter or kick KD the ball with the clock going down for a bail out.
KD is under utilized in OKC, and while I think it was mostly the coaching staff's fault, OKC would be better building around Westbrook.

The Cap is increasing significantly. It's doable.

If they could work out the salaries and egos, it would be an instant dynasty for the decade. For the sake of NBA, its better if they dont - no intrigue would be left.

Warriors will have plenty of room to sign BMD

Yeah, kind of, but at the same time, Curry + Klay + Durant would be must watch TV every game

Maybe Wiggins and Towns could challenge them down the road.

Next year our line up will be
Westbrook
Morrow
Durant
Ibaka
Kanter
Adding the strong bench we have....we're favourites to win the league...barring any injuries obviously

Yeah...if Durant went to the Warriors he'd be their best player.

I don't think they can afford him without losing a lot of depth. Or even at all.

The Warriors could do clear the cap space by basically dumping Iguodala, Livingston, Ezeli, and one of Barnes or Bogut.
So you would have a core of Curry, Klay, Draymond, one of Barnes/Bogut, and Durant and nothing on the bench. Worth it or nah?

I agree, the east needs some talent to make it somewhat entertaining during the playoffs. RD1 was turrrribblleee. RD2 was Turrrrriiiibbblllee... CF was Turrrriiiibbbllleee.

It would be a helluva thing to see... but let's say the Warriors win in 2015 and 2016... do you really see Durant going there given those circumstances?

I get what he's saying tho, Durant can fit into any situation whereas Westbrook seems like he would do better with a certain set of players around him (basically just 3pt shooting and bigs who can catch and score... Ironically Brooks starts Sefolosha and Perkins lmao), so it makes sense to just build around Westbrook and let Durant dominate regardless

oh that's what he meant?
i thought he meant just forget about durant and let him walk if he wants. use the money we would pay durant to build more around westbrook.
i skimmed his post anyways because hes a known idiot, so i didnt really analyze his babble.
just saw some shit about westbrook dominating in key moments and realized he hasn't watched too many okc games

Probably not especially if the Warriors beat the Thunder in the playoffs next year.

If Durant were stupid enough to bitch out on OKC and leave GOATbrook and the great talent OKC has, I'd love to see Westbrook go to Houston in '17 for a max(if that's even when he's a FA).
