Cavs better trade him ASAP! Can't build a future around a guy that's injury prone :wtf:

More injury prone than Greg Oden.

He played the second most minutes in the league this year and has played 159 of a possible 179 games the last two years... plus he was the MVP of the FIBA World Cup over the summer.

The vast majority of these injuries were minor scrapes and bruises during his first two years that the Cavs used to hold him out while in full-on tank mode.

I'd say he's had a handful of noteworthy injuries so far in his young career as a professional. The broken hand which came during practice in preparation for the 2012-13 season and the shoulder injury late in that same year.

Until now, he has been relatively healthy over the last two years and he's played a ton. The good news is he has never had any tendon or cartilage problems. Bones will heal and grow back together naturally... tendons and cartilage won't. To me, this is simply creating a story where there isn't one... that's what ESPN is expert at doing, after all.

He looks way older than he does too.

I don't really believe he's 23. His birth certificate got switched at birth and he's actually 35.

Cavs like throwing money at injury prone players. Look at AV and Kevin Love. Most injury prone roster in the league. One of the reasons I didn't want the team trading for Love.

Hopefully his career doesn't play out like T-Mac, G-Hill, Penny, Roy, etc.

But he seems to be pretty fragile.

I dunno... the fact that he went to Duke makes me concerned.. no one who went to Duke has had a long NBA career

yep. most of these don't have significant long term effects. only the knee tendinitis and right foot injury could be an issue in the future

Battier did pretty good as far as longevity.

None of those injuries are the ones that typically have long term.effects on NBA players. He may get beat up a lot and miss a few games, but I wouldn't worry about those injuries actually hurting his level of play.

Don't see any reason to believe that he won't be fine and well for next season.
