So basically Miami's titles all have asterisks on them too?

Makes sense.

Miami had to battle injuries in both of their title runs.

Lockout. Weak east, and played teams with injured superstars. Looks like an asterisk to me. :confusedshrug:

why would 2012 lockout be an asterisk? And in 2013, they beat a fully healthy Spurs team to win the championship. Warriors had injury advantage in almost each round.

why would 2012 lockout be an asterisk?

Because a lockout year crams so many games in a short time. Same reason why Jackson always called the Spurs title in 99 an asterisk year.

Asterisks are ****ing stupid. Product of shitty people with shitty agendas.

So? They still beat 4 teams in 7 games series in the playoffs.

They were literally the best team in the league from the beginning of the season, all throughout the Playoffs. They were winning the title regardless. Do people really believe they were all of a sudden gonna lose after being number 1 for the past 8 months?

Their season is comparable to some of the best teams in league history, yet they were gonna lose to an ordinary contender that couldn't even clinch the 1st seed in their weak ass conference? Come on now...

You can put an asterisk on every championship if you wanted to.

Being fortunate with health/injuries is apart of winning titles. Survival of the fittest.

Avoiding tough matchups and facing easier competition than others is apart of winning titles.

Plenty of of championship teams have benefited from this not just the Warriors or Lebron's Heat teams.

Truth is...nobody was beating this Warriors team regardless.

Age and attrition. Bulls didn't have their superstar in 2012. Same thing in 2013. Westbrook was also hurt in 2013, and Tony Parker was playing with an injury during the finals.

We could put one more asterisk on another LeBron-led team this year, too. Not only did the Cavs make the finals in a WEAK east, but Pau Gasol missed ~3 games in their series vs the Bulls.

We could seriously put one more asterisk on another LeBron-led team this year, too. Not only did the Cavs make the finals in a WEAK east, but Pau Gasol missed ~3 games this past series.

Heat teams were also battling key injuries those years, 2013 it was Wade and 2012 it was Bosh. GSW this, not so much, that's the huge difference.

And what about age and attrition ? How they get affected by a lockout? And give specific examples of how some 2012 teams were affected by them?

Can they just play the games? LOL @ that comment section though.

I don't believe anyone thinks that this series would be a foregone conclusion if love and kyrie were healthy.
It would be 50-50 at least.

No star missed any games in last 4 finals at least. I am sure this is also true for 2009 and 2010 finals.

Warriors are playing a teams with their second and third best players not even on the court. We all saw how even a little injured kyrie helped get it to OT.

And were still competitive because of how stacked they were.

The Bulls, Spurs, and Thunder (Westbrook in 2013) didn't have that luxury.

Its exactly what it implies. The Celtics in 2012 brokedown because of their age and lack of regimen due to a condensed season.

Should have told me earlier that you were trolling, I wouldn't have wasted my time discussing with you. I thought you were serious. LOL I'll be more careful before starting a discussion next time, i guess.

99 is legit asterik

the lockout caused the 3x defending champs to break up, that season was just awful..
