Out of curiosity, what would have LeBron James' true shooting percentage have been if the game had ended in regulation? Was he 17-33 with 42 points heading into OT?

Also, how much does a player get punished for going 6-10 from the line than even 7-10?

And not to skirt what this thread may or may have not been going for, but didn't James jack at least two semi-desperation threes in OT, possibly on the same possession, quickly submarining the true shooting numbers he'd established when he hit 40?

It kind of seemed like his 42 was pretty darn efficient... just the OT tore the statistics down thereafter (which is another issue in itself).

Stop watching box scores. He was jacking up desperation 3's in OT once the game was done with so of course that hurt his efficiency.

No, the only points that matter occur during the final minute of every single game.

This sounds remarkably like Kobe stan excuses.

Watch the game? Someone missed the part where James choked when it was 98-98 with seconds left. If you don't know what to do with the rock, give it up to someone that does....
