View Full Version : I still think Spurs/Clips was the highest quality ball of the postseason

It really felt more like the finals than any other series this year including what we saw in Game 1 of Dubs/Cavs

What do you guys think? I don't think any other teams in the playoffs have played as well as those two teams played. That 4th quarter of game 7 was magnificent.

Agreed. Shame CP3 got hurt, and the Clippers collapsed against the Rockets.

no it wasn't, because the Spurs lost to a bunch of chokers.

Embarrassing

No question.

I doubt either beats the Warriors, but either of them would have been better than Memphis or Houston.

It was the best series, but those are not the two best teams. Spurs backcourt was ass this year because Parker looks washed up and Green's shot abandoned him, and the Clippers don't have the mental fortitude or depth to beat GS.

It was probably the most competitive, but the Spurs playing hack-a-Deandre half the time tears apart the quality of the basketball.

Not many times does a first round series = the best series in that particular year of the playoffs.

When was the last time it happened ? 09 Celtics vs Bulls ?

Honestly, maybe last year the Grizzlies vs. Thunder

So many overtime games in that series. Too bad Randolph ****ed up and got himself suspended for G7

I think Game 7 altered impression the series left. It's up there, tho.

The 2x Bulls - Cavs game in Chicago were very epic. Watched both at my favorite sports bar. The Rose game winner everyone errupted. The LeBron game winner, you could hear a cricket rubbing one out in the corner.

Yeah, but not by a wide margin... Spurs/Clips was hyped up a lot as the 1st round series to watch (defending champs facing adversity vs a Clippers team with a lot of media attention)

But I think the Warriors/Pelicans series is underrated in terms of how well both teams played. It was high level basketball all around, even though the outcome doesn't appear that way. It was easy to see the difference in quality when you watch any of the eastern conference games and switch over to the Warriors/Pelicans.

Competitiveness doesn't equal quality though. I don't really agree with OP, but it was the most exciting.

Warriors and Cavs were the two best teams in the playoffs. Cavs are just missing their second best player.
