Never really thought of it this way but I get what he's saying. When you surrender yourself to one party all you are doing is making it such that both parties don't care about you.

He's completely right, not to mention it makes black people look like a flock of sheep all flocking to the same party year after year, despite its long history of racism, and its shorter history of failing achieve something tangible for blacks, just about ever (with perhaps the single exception of that buffoon LBJ).

there is very much a difference between the democrat and republican mindset when it comes to black people and minorities in general. lets take a look at big box stores that identify with each party. Cosco, which is democrat/liberal business, employs a high percentage of minorities, especially blacks and latinos.

menards, is a republican store. The owner donates tons of money to the republican party. They hire over 95 percent white people.

No, they should vote with their brains and not like sheep. Dumbass.
Black people are not a herd, but there's a percentage of them intent on making themselves into one, with AL Sharpton as their shepherd. I've had enough of black people, simply because they have a different opinion to that of the black mass, being called things like 'choc-ices' and other idiotic slurs implying white on the inside black on the outside, as if someone's skin colour should have anything to their opinions (and saying that is downright racist too).
"all black people must think alike"
There is not a more destructive mentality to have than that if you have any hope whatsoever reconciling racial divisions.

Exactly. I'm against a race going all in with this collectivist mindset. Fact is, as bad as the democratic party has been the past couple of years.. republicans (in power) would have been worse. McCain, Palin, Romney, Gingrich(i actually like him as a tv personality), Santorum (literally a POS.. worse than McCain), Perry (Bush 2.0), Huntsman (snake), Bachmann (nuts), Hermain Cain (retard) etc etc.. Are all wack.
Only respectable nominee in the republican party really wasn't a (modern day) republican.. Ron Paul. Republicans are the biggest MIC (military industrial complex) pushers and the biggest Zionist Israel backers. Democrats (not including the Joe Liberman nuts of the world) are by in large the lesser of the two evils. Obama was most certainly the right pick. Hillary though? nah.. she's a nut like Liberman.
Agreed.

You're a borderline illiterate sex-crazed teenager, who hates women (because they won't give his ugly, pimpled, insecure and overweight excuse for a human being the time of day), and so instead settles for *********ing over his sister when she's asleep at night.
I know you come on here to get away from all that, but never saying anything (apart from ranting at feminists like a broken clock) and calling people 'dumb' ain't gonna hack it. Nobody likes you and they never will. You should probably kill yourself right now to save everybody from the burden of your petty and grotesque existence. It would be the only good deed of your entire life.

thats actually the way its worked of late. for example Bush had total control for awhile and he fukked up so much shit that turned off so many people to the right where Dem's were dominating the next elections. then we now have Obama who has overall been a bit below average, especially in terms of leadership. and while Hillary will be the frontrunner by far, Obama doesn't really help her cause.
the other big issue is black people expect way too much from a black president, assuming he is going to cater to black people way more than everyone else. TBH thats what i hate about Obama the most, the fact that he did side with the black movement plight, despite me voting for his ass as a non black person.
black people are more racist when it comes down to it than other races. whether its justified is up to the individual. thing is someone like Obama would never have been elected if it were to cater to only black people like they expect, and if anything its made me realize i'll never vote for a black Prez candidate again based on the expectations and guilt trips of the black communities.
good luck getting a black Prez again since i think you've shot yourselves in the foot with your one sided expectations with one

This is yet ANOTHER reason why I do not like the 2-party system. It pushes each party to different extremes over time & creates polarity. It has happened so many times in the past - and everytime it has made a nation divided, & it begins to crumble.
I tell people that you should want no parties but all individuals. Makes me laugh to see their reaction. Democrats think I'm a Republican and Republicans think I'm a Democrat. It's sad truly that if you don't agree with somebody, they automatically assume you must be the other party.
People like George Washington, Jefferson, John Adams, etc warned against it. Washington actually wanted to put a clause in Constitution banning parties from the beginning, but they wanted to keep the Constitution flexible and fluid. Ultimately, they decided to not ban parties.

I don't know. I think Obama might be the breaking point for black voters. I mean, blacks can see that even with a black president, the democrats still don't do shit for blacks. And every city and state where blacks have it the worst, are run by democrats. They have no intention of ever doing anything that will make life better for blacks. All they intend to do is say whatever they need to say and the odd social program here and there to keep their vote. That's it.

What exactly do Democrats have to do to "improve blacks' lives"? More welfare? I think we all agree that isn't the answer. More scholarships for blacks? Then you'll have eveyone else bitching about that being racist. Job quotas? See prior example...
The fairest way and most effective way to improve black people's (and others) standard of living is through higher education available for those who want it, not only for those who can afford it. I have some ideas but I'd most likely be called an un-American socialist.

What do black people have to gain by voting for the Republican party? One party is openly racist to them and would implement policies that would be detrimental to a majority of blacks. Yes they need to put the pressure on Democrats to do more, but what they need to do is to consolidate their economic power and strategically support certain candidates to send a message.

You can check the elections between 1960 and say 1988 to see southern states break from the Democratic Party to first move to the segregationist George Wallace and then into the Republican party.
1960 The South was a solid blue
http://www.presidency.ucsb.edu/images/elections/maps/1960.jpg
1964 Landslide year, except the South flipped.
http://www.presidency.ucsb.edu/images/elections/maps/1964.jpg
1968 A chunk of the South went yellow for Wallace
http://www.presidency.ucsb.edu/images/elections/maps/1968.jpg
Since then the only Democrat to sweep the south was Georgia's Jimmy Carter. By the 1990's another Southern Governor was only able to split the South.
Political parties used to be more diverse ideologically and now they are not. Moderate Republicans used to be a big feature of national politics especially in the Northeast, very few moderate republicans in national office.

As the Department of Homeland Security continues to pour money into border security, evidence is emerging that illegal immigration flows have fallen to their lowest level in at least two decades. The nation’s population of illegal immigrants, which more than tripled, to 12.2 million, between 1990 and 2007, has dropped by about 1 million, according to demographers at the Pew Research Center.
