Excellent three point shooter, but terrible freethrow shooter.
In the 02-03 season, he shot a higher percentage from the three than the line.
What's up with that?

he just chose to master the corner 3 as it was more of a threat for his teams than him being a good FT shooter was

Only 89 free throw attempts though, over the course of the whole season... still odd and interesting how bad he was for somebody with a good shot... but when he attempted 110+ free throws in any season he shot closer to .60%... have to wonder if # of attempts makes a difference on overall % (not just for him but for every player)... While many players regress to the mean over time, maybe with enough attempts he'd improve to his career average of .58 FT%... What's just as interesting with him was how rarely he dunked... it was like a party whenever he threw one down :lol

Just checked Rondo's stats. He's abysmal from both. I remember Kobe sagging off him in the 2010 finals and daring him to shoot.
Bowen is an anomaly to me. I would assume freethrow shooting shouldn't be an issue if you've mastered the three point shot. Guess it wasn't the case with him.
