I thought LeBron was pretty good tonight, but I'm struggling to frame this performance. How would you guys rate this game, and would you say he carried his team?

No trolling btw

I rate it at a A-. (Overall I give at least a B+ to the stars of a team when they get the win unless they were hopelessly useless).

Overall LeBron's efficieny has been bad relative to his standards, and his clutch ability is horrendous hence a A- not an A or A+.
But he makes up for it by controlling the entire cavs offence for practically the entire game and actually doing a decent job, he also played good defense and grabbed 16 boards.

He deserves a lot of credit for scoring, assisting, and rebounding, even though he struggled late, but there were at least 3 possessions he should have been going to the line, and the refs didn't call anything.

Give Delly a lot of credit too. He was the X-factor

It was a 6 or 7.

Was choking down the stretch, but also getting shafted by the refs. Shot terribly.

I liked that he attacked on the last play, but as suspected, refs dont call shit.

Missed 14 out of his last 19 shots, didn't he? That being said, he deserves at least 40% of the credit.

Played well in the first half, but put up a choke for the ages in the 2nd and got bailed out. I rate it a 5/10.

I know people are moved by the numbers but Lebron is kind of a stat stuffer in general but I don't know man....is it me or has his play been sloppy?

He understadably faded down the stretch due to fatigue but Delly and Mozgov was why the Cavs won imo as well as Curry just playing like dogshit.

06-07-2015, 11:43 PM
He still is the biggest factor on the win. I'm not buying Curry's shitty performance as the reason they got the W. He just flat out sucked, and trust me he's not going to recover from this.

39/16/11 from bron is super impressive no matter how you slice it.

7/10 choked really hard but Delly's offensive rebound bailed him out. Good performance before starts choking.

Took on a huge load and did extremely well at it for the first 40 minutes or so. A bit rattled and tired at the end. 7/10

If you still sit here and hate on this game I can't help ya.. I like how I see that even Laker fans appreciate it elsewhere... I'd say 8.5/10

It's also hard to be efficient when everyone knows you're taking the shot, and you get hacked like crazy.

He was really bad in the 4th Q and OT. It could have been fatigue. I felt he just tried to drive too much and get calls that they weren't going to call.

But even with fatigue, I expect a player of his magnitude play better in OT. He was even more non existent in game 1's OT.

3.5/5

7.5 or 8. Missed a lot of shots down the stretch but stayed aggressive and made the right plays. Big triple double and a ton of great passes tonight

9.5 out of ten considering the circumstances. all time great, stacked Warriors team, best defense in the league. Lebron is on the road, no help offensively, no player or coaching to take defensive pressure off of him. 39/16/11.

Meticode
06-07-2015, 11:48 PM
B+...he has to be more efficient on offense, but I think that's expected with how gassed he gets at the end of games playing all that time.

His performance this game to me was better than game 1 because of the 11 assists.

Are you directing that at me? I said he played a pretty good game, bud.

On a scale of 10, I would probably give it ~8 as well. The all-around play definitely nullifies the awful shooting and bad decisions late.

Lebron has to run the offense, score, defend, rebound and tell them where to be on defense and offense... Delly barely handled the ball and had 6 turnovers... Lebron handled the ball all night long and had 3 while dishing out 11 assists and 16 rebound..

I would say he deserves a great deal of credit but he didn't exactly lite it up so about 50-65 percent...

Giving him a 8. Obviously people are going to make a lot about that drive before overtime, but at least he tried it instead of a jumpshot.

What people need to look at is the fact Curry shot just as bad, if not worse than Lebron tonight. Both team's best players were locked up.

He tried hard and his team won. 8/10 for effort, 4/10 for execution

6 overall

I'll give him an A for effort. But he was trash scoring after halftime. Dude is exhausted and forgot how to hit a jumper (though his 3pter came back today maybe he should emulate Harden and just do 3s and lay ups lol)

In a game where nobody on the Cavs could buy a shot?

I thought Lebron played a fantastic game, yes he shot like shit but he really didn't have many options. He rebounded well, had a lot of assists and scored a huge chunk of his team's points while playing outstanding defense.

I'd give it a 9/10.

Lebron was 6/7 he had some great moments he was bad once again late 4th and OT might been done to fatigue. He had ton of effort all game long and heart I'll give him credit for that.

He deserves 100% credit. Without him the Cavs get blown out. Hell, without Love and Kyrie this Cavs team is a 20 win team. Doesn't really matter how "efficient" LeBron is, he is willing his horrible team to victory.

Carried a team for 45 mins until JR smith decided to take his talent to Oakland.

Hat off to Lebron. This game he shot 11/34, 4 for last 19. But his aggressiveness fired up his teammates, and they played their heart out.
To Lebron fans who bashed Kobe for shooting low percentages, you now know how aggressiveness does for your team.
And this game shows you why people , who actually played basketball, keep saying Kobe is better than Lebron even though the stats show otherwise. You play to win, not for the stats.

Lebron has yet to make a legitimate basket in the last 16 minutes of the first two games.

1-12 and that one shot was a garbage layup.

Give him credit for not caring about fg% like his loser fans, but this will only work if Warriors plays 3 more games like garbage.

Official credit distribution

Lebron -- 43.2%
Delly -- 18.44%
Mozgov -- 19.27%
Blatt -- 12.73%
Tristan -- 7.27%
James Jones -- 3.97%

JR Smith: -17,412%

Due to JR Smith's performance the Cavs will forfeit the win and the series

In all seriousness though Lebron's gotta deserve some credit here. Nobody performed well in the clutch this game except for Delly. It happens but the Cavs win the game because of Lebron carrying them.

Xiengqichess

Lebron shot 6 / 25 for his last three quarters and overtime. The game tied at the end of first quarter and his team still won.
So Lebron fans should never mention Kobe 6/24 game 7 anymore, ok.

How do people state the Warriors is a very good defensive team when they literally play him one on one for almost the entire game?

Iggy should be called the Bron stopper because he's shutting him down, otherwise the Warriors aren't a defensive team.

Im not sure how to rate this performance to be honest.

The stats look great on paper, but for most of the 2nd half, he was from ok-meh-bad.

He's supposed to close the game and bring it home, but that wasn't the case.

I agree he got fouled a few times down the stretch, but he was playing bad before that. and one may even argue that he was pushing off just as much as he was getting fouled :confusedshrug:

Iggy slightly hand checking him def affected him.

And smh @ him being tired.

He's supposed to be this freak of nature hyper athlete, yet he's chocking at the end because he's TIRED? gimme a break

LeTired somehow managed to make a triple double look overrated.

I agree with this post. He was clearly gassed IMO dude was getting blocked a lot (not normal for him at all). I might give him a 5.5/7 though. Btw why did you choose a scale of 7? That seems really random lol

Your opinions are dogshit when it comes to Lebron. You started out pretty reasonable but ended it with a shitty and insecure remark. Lebron's not going to catch MJ brah. Take a rest, have a breather. I'm on your team doe but you sound like shit every damn time there's a thread bout bron. No one's asking you to appreciate his greatness, just don't shit on it cause you don't like the guy. You're bron's bitch #staymad

Nowhere did I mention MJ in my post.:confusedshrug:

If you take that out, what I stated is true. The Bron brigade are already pushing their talking points (excuses). Their claim to the weak ending is due to fatigue, yet they claim he's this superior athlete, the best athlete of all time, a freak of nature... do they not?

So how is it that he's so tired that he gets his shit stuffed that many times?

Shit aint 'insecure' my post is an observation. And like I stated, the stats look great on paper, but when you see the game live and forget about the stats, the end is pathetic and adds a blemish to what may have been a great performance overall.

I give props when props is due. If he plays great, I'll be one of the first to make a thread praising him (as I have in the past). But when I think he plays sub par, I will ignore the stats and call it like I see it.

Call me what you want, I speak the truth.
