View Full Version : Lebron's a lucky ****

Yeah, I know half his team is hurt... But unlike the all-time greats he's chasing, Lebron gets to play with spacing, so the injuries don't matter - today's spacing would allow ANY top 20 all-time player the domination necessary to win as a 1-man team.. But it just so happens that Lebron is the only one lucky enough to play in this era with the spacing.

Of course, today's game allows zones outside the paint, but this is minor compared to spacing.. Spacing overrides everything - the lower number of strongside defenders resulting from weakside spacing, coupled with wider driving and passing lanes would allow any top 20 player the domination necessary to win as a 1-man team.

Of course, not every player would dominate today's spacing the same way - in Lebron's case, he gets triple-doubles.. Magic would too, but with more assists and FAR better efficiency - something like 25/10/15... MJ would come close to averaging 50 PPG in this series (plus 6 rebs, 6 assists, per his standard).. Meanwhile, Bird would also take full advantage of the porous strongside defense (http://www.insidehoops.com/forum/showthread.php?t=378398) - he'd get something like 33/11/9.. Obviously, ALL of these guys would have far better efficiency than Lebron.

he gets to play with spacing because his passing and vision is more feared than his scoring.

Why else would they give him single coverage? because his pass> his scoring and the warriors know it.

It's a credit to his all around game if anything

LeBron is playing with 5+ injuries including a sprained right wrist (which can affect his shot). He is the real warrior.

The 1-9 is fitting. Jordan is in #1 spot on the top 10 all time list and Bron is in the #9 spot. :lol

Making it too easy boys. Keep holding that L!

So why can't Wade or Melo do this? Why aren't Wade and Melo lucky too? Do they not play in the same era as James?

Got bitched by Shaq in '95. Punked by Isaiah in '90.

1-9.

Your meltdown will be unbelievable if LeBron beats a stacked team without a top 50 player. Let alone HOF or All-star.

Then why has nobody else done it? Why couldn't Kobe & Wade get out of the first round as a 1 man team, or Durant win more than one playoff series in 2013 once Westbrook went down? It's funny how only LeBron seems to be able to do it

What would MJ do against the 1-defender strongsides below?

He'd average almost 50 PPG in this series... Not an iota of exaggeration..

That's the only way to explain what MJ would do to 1-defender strongsides, and strongsides that have less defenders in general.

Agreed

LeBron is one of the luckiest players of all time, he has never even beaten a quality opponent in the Finals
