How does this series go? LeBron was a more efficient scorer on high volume back then. He scored 38 points on 25 shots against the Orlando Magic who were #1 defense in the league in the ECF that year.

But does the pace still favor Cleveland if he's not posting up, and he's playing a more up tempo transition game? Right now, him controlling the pace is the reason why they were able to win, and almost steal game 1 as well. Those games against the Magic were overall, more high scoring and higher paced.

How do you see it playing out?

he would literally average 50-12-12 on 50% FG. He would go down as the greatest of all time. win or lose.

Definitely bolstered his mental toughness along the way. Failure and age has a tendency to thicken ones skin + facilitate one to blossom.

They would be worse. 2009 LeBron isn't the leader he is now. He's out there directing players, he's out there talking on defense, he's out there shouldering the load and most importantly he's out there passing to open team-mates with confidence for the shot.

All the 2009 version of LeBron was statistically the better version of himself. The 2015 LeBron, even inefficient is the better leader. And this is why all those Cavs teams before he left came up short because he wasn't a good leader then.
