No but I wanted to sign up for baseball.

you mean softball, idiot?

you can't play fast pitch baseball. you lack the hand eye coordination, the technique, the experience.

you don't just "sign up" for baseball without experience.

I signed up for a baseball team in middle school. I batted a 0.086 :lol.

Only reason I was kept in the lineup was because I had a good live arm from left field.

We went 2-14 :applause:.

My coach hated me. I was the kid he probably wanted to leave at the field while everyone took the bus.

my pms are full.

do they allow regular people in your league, or is it strictly a 'special' league? i can coach maybe. i've dealt with mentally retarded people before.

whats the pay.

also, batting cages three times a week. each person must pay 5 bucks each session.

Would you say they're easy to join?

Is it a big time commitment?

Easy as can be. Moved to the 520, knew no one, signed up as a FA, and been playing/reffing since.

Depends on the team, some are serious, some aren't.

I mean, a FF league I started reffing had a fight within teammates over a blown play. While others, just do it to have fun.

Sorry you lost your bet. You could have bought a really nice frisbee. :(

Rec leagues are the truth! I play at least one season of hoops every year, I do the co-ed softball league for TV shows, just got picked up to play men's baseball (haven't played hardball in 20 years, could be ugly), I did a soccer league, trying to get into a flag football league, and pickup ultimate frisbee with a bunch of people who take it really seriously. I really miss team sports when it's not in my life.

Depends on your city I suppose as far as ease of joining. Where do you live? I found basketball leagues online, I found a softball league in san diego in the newspaper. Check craigslist, if nothing else might be able to find some good pickup games of whatever sport you want to do. Time commitment is league dependent too obviously, more than worth it for me to give up a couple hours on a saturday or sunday for 8-10 weeks.
