lol kobe would have 10 seasons of 30 ppg if he cared as much about winning as AI did

i'm sure he would trade in those 2 extra 30's for many 27's-28's and 5 rings

:lol

we all remember what kobe could do when he stopped giving a damn like iverson... 35+ppg / 81 points

so its not like kobe wasnt capable. he just understood what it takes to win.. making his team mates better/more confident by sacrificing a bit

Allen Iverson is the most underappreciated player in the history of the game

Maybe its just ISH, thats so in love with efficiency and stats. But Allen is one of the most talented human beings to ever play in the NBA

easily top20 alltime

and i'd argue him over Lebron if he doesnt win anything in cleveland, and keeps losing in the finals.

Iverson would also have 2 rings he had teamed up with two of the 5 best players in the world in his prime.

Kobe
Shaq

AI was a great player and could have really excelled had he had a better team built around him in his prime. Unfortunately, this post makes it seem as if Bryant wasn't capable of putting up numbers just as great, if not better.

For the month of February, 2003, Bryant averaged 40.6 on 47% shooting... 43% from 3. Granted he had the opportunity to play with Shaq, so many have dismissed those numbers as a result of Shaq's presence.

For the month of January, 2006, Bryant averaged 43 points on 47% shooting, 40% from 3. Granted, many have dismissed those numbers as well... but because he wasn't playing with Shaq and had more freedom to score. I know... the arguments are contradictory.

The truth is this... Bryant has shown that he was capable. LeBron has shown that he is capable of scoring big numbers as well. None of these players are overrated scorers.

iverson has gotten so overrated after his career. he was an inefficient offensive player and he was hated in every locker room he played in

why wouldnt it work that way? We are talking scoring abilities at their best, why would you include 14 mpg ppgs in there?

You can look it up yourself. But are we gonna fault Kobe for being able to sustain his level of play throughout his career? Also.. It's not Kobe's fault that Iverson can't contribute to a team if he's not scoring and shooting up a ton of bricks. :oldlol:
Shot bricks cause he had to, Kobe played with prime Shaq and Gasol but will finish his career with the most missed shots ever. How pathetic :facepalm

Without Iverson, the Lakers would have went undefeated in the 2001 postseason.

If he played in today's era, he would easily win a MVP or two.

edit: I think he would win 2.

Overrated? meh...maybe, maybe not. Just like Kobe he was an inefficient chucker but I got to respect his heart. He was a warrior, was not afraid of the contact and made long sleeves cool I guess. :confusedshrug:

Alright here you go..

If you want to go by seasons...

Kobe 00 - 2013 (14 seasons): 415

Iveron's career (14 seasons): 345

If you want to go by amount of games played:

Kobe Bryant in 895 Games (00 - 12): 380

Allen Iverson in 914 Games (Career): 345

Iverson scored 50 points two times in one playoff series alone while Kobe scored 50 1 time in his whole career in playoff games. 3/71 > 1/220

Iverson better score than Kobe easily. Kobe most overrated scorer of all time. Even Lebald is a better scorer when it matters comparing to Kobe.

Kobe weak team killer that's who he really is and that's why he can never win as an underdog.

+ Ref favor Kobe way more than AI
